Work environment as a motivating factor for employees. test

Currently, the work environment within companies plays a very important role since it is a factor by which the worker performs more efficiently in their respective activities.

A happy worker is a more trustworthy worker, that is why by keeping our workers in a satisfactory way within the company we have the certainty that these workers will be faithful and loyal to it, for which they will respond at times that is needed.

Now, according to Manoel Grott (2003), it refers to the work environment as a set of physical, climatic or any other factors that, interconnected or not, are present and participate in the work of the individual.

Another no less important variable is motivation, this is very important because thanks to the fact that the working personnel are kept motivated within the company, better results are achieved which are expressed in more sales or production.

Conceptualizing the term of motivation Chiavenato (2000), refers to motivation as the result of the interaction between the individual and the situation that surrounds him.

Depending on the situation that the individual is living in at that moment and how he is living it, there will be an interaction between him and the situation that will motivate or not the individual.

This is extremely important for companies since the people who make up the company use all their talent without feeling pressured and on the contrary do so with satisfaction.

The relationship that we can find between the work environment and motivation is that the worker feels comfortable in the space where he works, taking into account that he relies on a good work team where everyone participates and agrees on relevant aspects within of the company and thus they can achieve their objectives. That worker is going to give more than one hundred percent at the time of undertaking his activities, because he knows that he can do it without any problem and more than anything that he feels accomplished and motivated to complete any task that he must carry out within the company.

It is worth noting that initially companies did not take into account anything that had to do with the workplace in which their employees performed, much less paid attention to the ways of developing extra-labor activities that injected into real workers. desire to work, this made the work monotonous and boring, where everyone performed tasks mechanically without providing new ideas or ways to grow the company as such. There is talk of a dehumanization of work and considerable absenteeism, boredom and therefore high staff turnover, on the contrary, at that time, instead of implementing new motivational techniques, it was decided to increase supervision and continuous review of the work, making this even more rigid and monotonous.

Motivation within the company plays a great role, since having a motivated staff achieves better results in terms of production or in financial matters within it. However, the employer must measure the degree of motivation because if the employees perceive so much comfort in their work area, it happens that over time they get used to it in a bad way and tend to lose the objectives set by the company. The motivation within the company can be found in relation employer-employee or employee-employee. When it comes to employer-employee relationship, we mean all the motivation that the boss gives her employees to work at ease, such as an area where they can prepare a drink, the right climate, etc.On the other hand, when motivation is related by employee-employee, that type of motivation is more inclined to the psychological and affective issue towards the person, as may well be the support that is counted among all coworkers in order to achieve the objectives of the company, taking into account that between them there are no personal conflicts or that there is psychological or physical abuse.

In some way, it is possible that within a company there may be an optimal work environment where there are no conflicts, however this can be achieved when the personnel who work within the company can relate in a good way with other coworkers. There are very few companies in which they can get this type of work team, in some cases it is achieved because for the same motivation that the company offers its workers, there is no conflict between them that could harm coexistence that they are driving normally.

It should be noted that each employee has a different personality than the others who work within a company, that is why the way of motivating the worker is not always completely pleasant for one, as for another. However, in some companies it is intended to provide the comfort that each employee requires in order for them to be able to perform in the most efficient way and thus meet each of the goals that the company intends to achieve.

In the following video-conference, Professor Rita González Fernández, from the Business and Management School, gives a very complete explanation of how the work environment influences the motivation of workers and vice-presidents.
