Leadership is a very important topic today, I want to focus on leadership that represents action, that represents social change.
A leader is a person who has the ability to exert influence in a group to guide him to achieve a certain end. We need more and more, those good leaders who really seek the common good, social change, the fulfillment of their followers' personal goals, understanding that this is how they train successful people, that there will be a true social change.
Julián Puga and María Teresa De la Garza in their leadership manual, express: “The leader involves members of a social group in different ways in following a pattern of behavior; affecting their actions, thoughts and even their daily lives ”Analyzing this bibliographic quote, we can reflect more on the need for leaders in action, who take care of impressing on each of their followers the importance of personal change, their habits, their ideas, of their daily life, directing them towards success in each of the areas of their being.
For the leader to convert his followers into successful people, it is not necessary for them to become great entrepreneurs or possess many material assets, what I mean by successful people is that they have the satisfaction of self-realization, seeing each of them fulfilled. goals. This is how, as we accumulate the achievement of objectives, people achieve success, which motivates us to continue setting ourselves bigger goals, to persevere, to change our mentality, our attitudes, our way of relating to those around us. This is how positive personal change generates effective social change.
But how necessary is this social change today? The existence so volatile and dynamic that is seen in today's society, is leading it towards an individualism, in which the priority is always to think of oneself, believing that this will advance., but that in reality moves away from personal goals and results in frustration, vices, bad attitudes. Therefore, it is necessary to know how to identify and approach those leaders in action who change mentalities and improve our lives.
We can conclude then, that the leader in action is a fundamental part of society, since through the exercise of his leadership, his influence, his mission, the development of his abilities, he achieves the personal change of his followers; by showing them the way of achieving personal goals, of continuous improvement, of teamwork, of authenticity, which together make successful people, who show progress in their lives, individual growth that clearly influences society. Therefore, the leader in action is a generator of social change.
