Are leaders born or made

It is a question that for many years has been controversial and it is the million dollar question. It is also a question in which some other aspects must be included, such is the case of the qualities of each individual and the environment in which these individuals develop. The relationship between people is of mutual influence, what a person says or does in a face-to-face relationship, will positively or negatively influence him or others.

In reality we can all be leaders in each of the activities we carry out. According to David Fischman: "Personal leadership is achieved when the individual sets out on the path by working on their self-esteem, creativity, vision, balance and ability to learn", because that would make a human being an integral entity.

When children are in their initial age, it is the parents' responsibility to instill confidence in them, instill respect for themselves and others, grow their self-esteem, strengthen their values so that they always act based on their perception of people and the situations that present themselves. That is why home education is an extremely important factor for the future interaction of good leaders.

Is the personality innate or acquired?

Personality is a psychological construct, with which a dynamic set of characteristics of a person is referred, these range from the physical and social to the genetic. It is the set of traits of different types that characterize a person from others.

And this is innate in each person, since they are unique characteristics that can be obtained by inheritance from their families, they should only be exercised or polished, so that they have better results.

Despite this, personality can be developed when the need for it is felt or in the presence of situations that warrant the development of certain personal skills.

As for example: the security of exposition of ideas, this quality is innate in leading people, but not limiting for others, the preparation can achieve security in the expression of ideas, if they are clear and with a concise objective.

Does the leader form during childhood?

In a story David Fischman writes about elephants in his book The Leader's Way: he says that in India elephants are tied to a tree with a chain when they are young so they cannot escape. They try to do it, but the chain and the tree are stronger than they, after a few years when these elephants grow to their size and acquire the strength of adults, it is enough to tie them to a small bush so that they do not escape, because already they have the idea that they cannot escape.

So after reading this, from my very particular point of view, I believe that leaders are trained from childhood, and our families are in charge of promoting the characteristics that Fischman lists that are necessary to be a good leader.

"We must direct our actions towards our vision in the future, enjoying and living the path of the present."
