Imagology was discovered by the so-called Czech writer when he published his work called "immortality" in the famous forties, which indicates what replaces and devours ideology, but if we contemplate today it is different because it is conceived in a different way already that people perceive other people in an aggressive way at times and they are described as if they were superior.

It is important to mention that there are people who perceive themselves in the opposite way to the aforementioned in this can influence the environment or their mood.

The aforementioned author does not give us an exact definition of what imagology is, but he does give us to understand that it is a new word, but what he meant by new was the following:

"It is the process in which all the studies that are given to a person respect their image are carried out." (Cabrera, 2011)

From the above we can give a container conclusion to what this author told us, imaging is the study of the image that, with a set of knowledge, skills, desirabilities that are created and developed or maintained a certain image in front of a person or a society.

Citing some examples from years ago when the term imagology did not exist in the time of the famous man named Machiavelli, he wrote in a work called the prince, the following:

A prince must dress and speak correctly as he should be an example for his subjects and thus honor the royal family. Perhaps Machiavelli did not know that he was unintentionally acting as an imaginologist. Mentioning more historical data, the main leaders of past years had image consultants to mention, we have the famous third right which helped this to have a better control of the masses since what Hitler did was that others did what he seemed to it was fine even if his followers had another point of view.

In the following pages we will describe in broad strokes to the imagery, its aspects that have to do with it, as well as everything that surrounds this term so busy lately by many people.

Next, we will show the cover of the famous book by Nicholas Machiavelli in which he describes some of the first aspects of imagology.

Concepts of imagology.

The concept of the word imagology is unfamiliar to people outside of advertising, marketing, politics, or public relations. But many will first wonder what the word "imagology" means, if we want to land the meaning in its serious Latin root, imago that means image, which is allusive to a figure, representation, similarity and appearance of a thing or object, logia is a term from logos, which is the study, science, and expression of something or someone such as a product, person, or organization. In order to be able to develop in the most adequate way, the imagology is helped by the following sciences: Linguistics

Communication

Psychology

Semiology

Biological anthropology

History of art and other sciences that allow you to control the stimuli of people. (Smoked, 2016)

We must mention that for the imagery to be carried in the correct way we must have a product, which can be a tangible or intangible good, tangibles can be from consumer products to a person and they are known as services that in the Nowadays they have the spearhead because consumers often get carried away more by this than by other aspects.

But because this term has taken on so much relevance lately, we must mention that it is due to the demand that exists in companies to stay in the market and this is currently only achieved by being competitive.

Companies or organizations can only become competitive through the implementation of strategies, which will create that these have a validity in the minds of consumers and therefore that consumers consume their products or services depending on their needs. At present, it is known beforehand that companies in general can have an acceptance not because of the high quality of their products or services but because the image of said product is so embedded in their mind that it will automatically consume it either why do you really need it or your mind if it tells you to.

Due to the aforementioned, many of the companies strive to have the best image before their consumers so that they return and, in the best of cases, on their return they bring new customers.

Said the previous one, the imagology serves us for many things in general for the creation of strategies around the same company, these strategies have to provide the company with benefits as added value that create a distinction in its products compared to those of the competition.

Next, we will show a sales cycle which is one of the main objectives of imaging.

Finally, we must take into account the world we live in which is full of changes, technological, social, political, natural, for which societies will face changes and those changes will be represented in needs. These needs are captured by the company that has developed the area of ​​human development.

But what is meant by this term?

People today modify their interest in various situations, aspects of any kind, this can happen at certain times from a day, a week, a month and even years. For the aforementioned, companies must have as one of their greatest needs the focus on stopping all those changes that may exist in people so that the area of ​​opportunity is immediately located and then placed in the taste of customers.

Taking into account the aforementioned, this will lead the company to search for any element that leads to the opportunity to position its product or service and create an identification with consumers.

The elements can be the following:

Price, Functionality, Availability, Image among others.

Next, we will show the characteristics of a product, from these can come elements that differentiate our product.

What is imagology?

Imaging can be defined as the use of various strategies based on knowledge such as: psychological, social communication, marketing, public opinion, public relations, business planning and management.

The purpose of imaging is to create a positive image of a person or an organization as long as it has an effect on the public opinion of a group of people or a society. We must mention that the main objective of imaging is to create a series of psychological stimuli in human beings, all of the above will be obtained through the use of an image, but of course to achieve this it will occur to various elements, both physical and psychological.

The author Milan Kundera does not define imagology as such, but he does give an introduction to a word in the forties and tells us certain guidelines to know this term since, as many of us know today, this concept is influenced by a series of elements and the term good is no longer enough. (Cabrera, 2011)

But without a doubt, the meaning of imaging according to Álvaro Gordoa has a broader and more concise definition which is the following.

Imaging ceased to be something literary until recently, it became an area in which companies invest enormous amounts of resources. Even today some universities already offer from a specialization, diplomas to careers in imaging due to the demand of companies, especially those of greater magnitude in this area.

In the imagology there cannot be an imbalance between appearance and essence since if we do so, credibility will be lost in the image of the company or person created and maintained, it will collapse. That is why so much is used today by famous imaginologists.

Imaginologists should know the following:

Image

The image is the appearance of an object, person, organization among others which is visible and can be perceived, it can also be imaginary or real.

If it is imaginary, it will indicate that the result will be derived from the creativity of the person or persons. If it is real it is because it has already been seen, it is already feasible and therefore remains in the mind.

Examples of the two types of image can be:

Imaginary: the creation of the famous Japanese anime, cartoons and in general everything that is real in our imaginations.

Real: when we mention, for example, a stove and most people relate it to that appliance that they have in their kitchens which they use to make their food every day.

The images are divided as follows.

The image with the visual object communicates through two components which are information signs. Where the meaning is the information that is given to others and the signifier is the way in which the message will be given or bequeathed in this house, the form is nothing more and less than the image.

The concept of image should be used because, as said, it already exists and remains in the minds of people. The difference it has with the figures is that this representation of the work.

Public image

This topic has become a point of study by people, politicians, companies, organizations among other entities. Because as we all know, it is important to give a good appearance and impact to society, since in a society public image is essential for certain people.

The public image is an essential part for the transmission of strategic information, the main relevant aspects of the public image are the following:

The development of the public image is performed on two platforms that are in turn decomposed into sub-platforms, which we will show below.

Personal image

This is the representation which can be modifiable as it develops and relates to society and the world, we must take into account the physical aspect since the body influences, as well as the academic and professional study that one has.

It must have coherence with the physical aspect to convince the people with whom it is related, all this will be supported by the visual, audiovisual and environmental image among other aspects.

Organizational image

This is the image that is intended to have or wants to give to society, this image must present a positive public image to give weight to the organization in society or market.

Next, we can some images where the different images are represented, it is worth mentioning that they are expressed by experts.

conclusion

Imaginology is a concept that when it emerged did not have as important a focus as in recent years, but it was essential, for example for royal families in times past.

At present it is a term that is too exploited since certain companies use it 100% to always be as spearheads in their different markets, positioning their products and their company.

In the field of people it has been very helpful and more so in terms of politicians because they sell their image to people to show them that they are the best option to govern a municipality, state or country.
