It is well known by all that companies are the engine of the world economy. These exist thanks to the concern of people to create products and services that provide a solution to a problem or need that they detected.

However, having the concern and generating ideas does not guarantee the success of a company. Since for this we need to validate that people really need said product or service.

They say the only difference between foolishness and perseverance is the result. And while it is true, that at the beginning of our projects we tend to be protective of them and many times the criticism is not well received, we also have to be open to listen to all opinions and be totally objective and critical to differentiate between destructive criticism and constructive. And we do not close to the idea of ​​changing or improving certain aspects of our product or service.

Since we must remember that continuous improvement is a fundamental part of a company and its growth.

A good idea is complemented by good planning and efficient use of resources. Although clearly, there are skills or abilities that complement it even more. With many of these we are born and others with the passing of time we perfect; To be in the world of business and entrepreneurship requires endless; among which based on my experience I want to highlight:

Listening capacity: It is important to pay attention to the comments of both internal and external people who are involved in the organization, call them (collaborators, suppliers or clients) since these allow us to know different perspectives in which our company is involved.

Negotiation capacity: This is undoubtedly one of the most important, since the business world revolves around it and many times the fulfillment of our objectives is based on successful negotiations. Negotiation is an aspect that is present in our day to day and we are all involved in it at some point in our lives. Not to mention those people who operate daily in the business world and who carry out national and international negotiations, which have notable differences and that it is essential that the executive or the person in charge of carrying out the agreement, knows each one in depth of these differences to avoid that the ignorance of these generate a delay and even the cancellation of the same.

It is important to mention that the negotiation is not only carried out between companies, national and international, that have the capacity to cover all those expenses that a negotiation generates directly and indirectly.

Landing this example in Mexico where the majority of companies are SMEs, it is even more important that we develop this capacity, since this also implies direct contact with clients, collaborators and suppliers. And that by developing and exploiting it to the fullest we can turn it into a competitive advantage.

Adaptability: Without a doubt, of vital importance for the permanence of the company, since the world in which we live is characterized by being in constant change, so it is essential that we keep ourselves informed about these changes and if it is necessary to incorporate them into the organization.

Confidence in yourself: Show yourself clear and determined before any decision you make and not be afraid of the changes or challenges that arise.

Leadership: That the people who work with you see in you an inspiration and you generate confidence, as well as enthusiasm to carry out their work.

In conclusion, the success of a project is not only based on a good idea, but on the capacities and abilities that one has to develop and maintain it on the path of growth.
