Focusing leadership and creativity in management

Anonim

The article proposes three complementary elements to management that together, can generate extremely important added values in organizations. These elements are: Leadership, creativity and details.

Likewise, an overview of the organizational structure of companies is given through our current context and some companies are mentioned as a success story and one in particular.

We live in a world burdened by the large number of products and services on offer. Increasingly, we are faced with large numbers of messages that convey to us how good it is to acquire and how much it will benefit us to do so.

Since the 1990s, the resources of advertising and marketing have been categorically exploited, being these on many occasions the main “know how” in the organizational structure of many expanding companies.

Globalization, for example, is the generational part of the frontal competition between large companies for positioning. However, it is not this trait that is the final factor that determines the growth, success or failure of a company. In this sense, various branches of specialization arise in the business world. Curiously, they are presented as simplifiers and end up being extremely complex structures. Joining different branches of business can be a very interesting challenge from a management point of view. And getting that integration to have its technological counterpart can be very complex. Those are the challenges organizations face today.

What is management? It is a complete map, simple but not simplistic, of the key principles and points for the direction and administration of all types of organizations and companies.

So suppose that management is the main indicator of the paths traced and to be traced in any complex structure.

Joan Magretta, who for years was the editor of the prestigious Harvard Business Review, knowingly reviews all the best that has been stated and written about management and selects what really matters in practice. The author uses abundant contemporary and historical examples to give life to the central concepts of business administration: value creation, business models, competitive strategies and organization design. At the same time, pay attention to the often unwritten operating rules that characterize the best organizations.

Although there are differences in the point of view and interests of each branch of business activity, unification is always sought between the various managers within organizations. In this sense, an immaculate coherence is pursued at all costs, established since the dawn of senior management.

Organizational structures often define logical criteria to achieve the adequate development of their personnel, that is, they project a leadership program and potential managerial skills at different levels, this in order to maintain the hierarchical structure of the company.

From a management point of view, this is a necessary and efficiently proven resource, however, this type of implementation naturally causes the true value of human resources, a key factor in the development of any organization, to be lost sight of.

The leadership of a company begins from the projection itself within, to the definition of its product or service as a leading brand in front of final consumers and even those that are not yet, but could become. In this sense, achieving leadership that meets all these requirements is not an easy task, however, it is the main focus of some companies such as Grupo industrial Bimbo, Cementos de Chihuahua and Toyota de México, which have managed to maintain irrefutable leadership through to generate a high index of confidence in the consumer, and within, in strengthening attention and concern for their human resources and suppliers.

Currently, the elements that generate added value in any leading company are clear. Image, social responsibility, customer service, human resources and finally, well articulated, the product and services that they generate.

Leadership that can be exercised, but also projected, continues to be the implement of a powerful tool in the competitive and fierce business world.

Another powerful tool that generally helps to project the leadership of a company in a categorical way is creativity.

The creative element is often discriminated against by the top management for considering it a double-edged sword, however, when the company is clear about the message it wants to transmit and is capable of transmitting it, then it places all its trust in the company's creatives.

Such is the case with HP. A pioneer in cutting-edge technology, but who had long neglected the creative element. In this situation, it implements the Invent campaign, which exploits the creativity of the artist always backed by the latest technology from pioneers and market leaders.

In essence, well-implemented creativity is usually a determining advantage to generate image and high added value. It is then that we delve into the last tool capable of generating incredible benefits, both in consumers and in the managers themselves when it comes to paving the way, I mean in detail.

The details can turn a successful company into an exponentially accomplished company. A very clear case is that of Grupo Comex, which in 2002 obtained the distinction of socially responsible company. In this sense, it became a company with great leadership by positioning, however, in 2006 it decided to make its image a conclusive detail. He launched a marketing campaign inspired by the restoration of the Satellite Towers, located in the State of Mexico. All the information and projection included it on its website and radically changed the image of all Comex stores in the country. The detail of the personalization and approach with the consumer closed with a flourish the growth of the company.

Currently the paradigm prevails, in terms of new market trends and emerging business strategies, which according to some critics, ultimately ends up destroying organizations. However, there are enough success stories to be able to take into account these 3 great tools, which without a doubt, definitely complement management and have revolutionized the changing and voracious world of business, and are perhaps the main indicators of the new trends, which in the not too distant future will be implemented by any organization that appears in the high business world.
