Network marketing. 6 myths and truths about multilevel marketing

Anonim

Multilevel businesses (network marketing) have been and will continue to be topics of discussion, both for better and for worse. There are still many beliefs about these business opportunities that are not true and cause a lot of confusion. Here are some of the main ones:

1- They are pyramidal systems: In the broad sense of the word, a pyramidal system is one in which those above win at the expense of those below. Basing ourselves to the letter with this definition, all businesses, governments, pension systems and any other economic system is of a pyramid type. Now there is a difference between legal pyramids and illegal pyramids.

The multilevel, as strange as it may seem to the extremists against, is perhaps the only economic system that does not depend on hierarchy, and where a person can earn more money than several levels of people on this, being considered the most fair marketing system. If you have questions about a certain company, inquire with the direct sales association or institution in charge of this matter in your country. Be very careful with those "businesses" that offer large profits in exchange for doing little or nothing, and / or do not exchange a product or service.

2- They tell you that you are the owner of your own business: Yes and no. I mean, obviously you are not the owner of the company. This is something critics scoff at when a distributor or networker mentions this. However, if they own their own business. His business is of the intellectual property type, which consists of an electronic franchise number and the entire network that said person forms. If a networker says he owns his own business, he is not lying.

3- You can get rich in two years: This part is totally true, with proven cases. However, we must be fair saying that they are minority cases. And most obviously don't get rich. This part is also part of the criticism, but it must be remembered that in all fields where money is worked, there are always a minority who get rich. The same applies here.

4- You do not have to work, only people enter: This is completely false. Whoever tells you this, whether they are in business or not, doesn't know what they are talking about. Network marketing businesses, like any business, require training and work. If you are invited to a business where only people have to enter without working, or the person does not understand the business, or is inviting you to a pyramid.

5- Little time is required: This is relative. It requires that you dedicate time, but nevertheless it does not require as much time as a traditional job or business, since here time is leveraged on teamwork. I would dare to say that whoever thinks to dedicate himself to this, must take at least 10 hours a week to obtain results in a reasonable time. It should be noted that the vast majority of those who do this business, are employees or traditional business owners, who decide to take their business in networks full time only when they have great results.

6- They will saturate at some point: Although theoretically it is possible, in reality it is practically impossible. Throughout the world there are thousands of companies that work with this business scheme, and there are products that compete with those of these companies. The possibility that half the world decides to be a partner or client of the same company is practically nil, if not impossible.
