Persist and you will succeed in the negotiation

Anonim

Many years ago I learned the meaning of the word " Persistence " when I was about to fail a physics exam at the university, I remember today with admiration and nostalgia the wise words of the teacher who told me " Persist and Triumph " and that's how it was, I persisted and my final exam was a success.

This lesson has not only helped me to pass a simple university exam, it has transcended further throughout my life in the daily business of negotiation. It is here, where I have found it most useful, in the negotiation between the parties. It is worth mentioning that unlike an exam, goal or objective that we have set for ourselves, in the negotiation we must balance "Persistence", that is, we have to make sure we know how far we must insist, since that which could strengthen us could weaken us.

"Persistence" is a key factor that helps us locate those temporary indecisions that could hinder us to achieve our negotiation objectives. It is very important to know in the negotiation the How? What? With whom? When? and how often? to persist. If we persist for a long time, the business relationship between the parties may break, or there will be a "collision" with the other party. If we do not persist in the right measure or time, we may not reach an agreement.

There are people who do not like to be harassed, ask yourself, if your clients indirectly or directly avoid you, or evade you! Could it be that you have been persistent too much, or too much? Or, You are over the line with your client! Remember that Persistence is Succeed! Or as the saying goes "He who perseveres achieves", you just have to know how? and with whom?

Some tips:

  • Observe your counterpart, perhaps you appreciate their persistence, or perhaps this is the barrier to entry Dare to persist when you know your customer's need and can satisfy it Observe if your counterpart gives you the guideline to persist Be yourself, don't imitate Remember that nothing is good in excess.
