Culture is part of our decisions both consciously and unconsciously, this due to the constant exposure we have towards certain types of standardized lives.

We make a decision based on selection criteria established by our family or society, so many organizations can take advantage of this to use the tool of culture in order for consumers to think that they are being sold is what they need.

The loss of identity has been shown to be a problem, however, for organizations it represents a great advance in the standardization of their policies, projects and products, since in this way all consumers will have similar characteristics.

Definition

There is no consensual decision of the word Infomulticulturalism, however, it can be said that it is the exchange of information and the influence that exists between cultures that agree with each other and that have an acceptable margin of tolerance in a society.

In order to understand it, it must be broken down into three well-defined concepts:

It is a set of data with a certain order and meaning that is structured in the thinking of people. It has the particularity of having specific instructions that provide knowledge and reasoning. It is important in the way things are perceived and understood and influences people's decisions in both work and personal spheres.

Therefore, it is the basic content of communication, it travels through different channels to be processed. So communication is a process in which a sender establishes a connection at a certain time and place in order to share a message made up of ideas and information towards a receiver.

Culture

It is the set of forms and expressions that will characterize a given society over time. This set is understood and includes the customs, beliefs, common practices, rules, norms, codes, clothing, religion, rituals and ways of being that predominate in the common people that integrate it. The term culture has a very broad meaning and with multiple meanings (DefinitionABC, 2013).

Multicultural

It promotes the recognition of different cultures and points out the right that every person has to possess it.

This has its origin as a model of public policy and as a social reaction philosophy that aims to make culture uniform, making it an opposition to modern society and unification, seeking to protect the largest number of existing cultures, focused on the relations of inequality of minorities in relation to the great cultures that proliferate in a globalized world.

However, the diversity of cultures means that the communication process is affected and in order to have a better relationship with other cultures, the most essential concepts of each group must be understood, since what some people may represent certain things for others may not matter.

That is why when a context refers to infulticulturalism, it explains how information develops different sources and cultures, where they merge to create an idea or the firmament of a case in such a way that it can be understood wherever it is spoken. of this, being in tune with all suffixes, regardless of the geographical area in which they are found, this is known as diversity of cultural information.

The information within it is defined as the set of data and elements organized and of a hierarchical order that can be interpreted and results obtained. It has the purpose of reducing the uncertainty or the transfer of knowledge of a defined area or topic, tools are required and they must present different characteristics so that the information can be transferred in an adequate way.

Currently, it is considered that we live in the information age and that today's societies find their main foundation in the exchange, generation and recreation of all types of data and content at a global level.

Culture

It is essential to understand that culture is not a defined reality, but is totally dynamic and changing. In western culture, all its elements are modified over time, producing the phenomenon of fusion between cultures. This phenomenon is very common and happens when two approaches or cultural visions are related (think of East and West), causing as a final result a synthesis between the two worldviews.

The value and importance of culture are indisputable. There is a global consensus on its relevance. In fact, when a town has a high rate of illiteracy or lack of schools, there is an obvious social problem. The absence of knowledge or the poverty thereof is what is called ignorance. The border between the two is difficult to pin down, as it requires a subjective assessment and is subject to debate and discussion.

Culture has a simple and everyday aspect when it is popular. And it acquires a higher level if it is a specialized culture. In any case, culture cannot be dispensed with, we live in it.

Consequently, culture is that form that makes a person part of a society, and is characterized by the beliefs, attitudes and behavior values ​​that govern society. Cultural values ​​can vary greatly from one country to another and each one of this has specific features, which is why in a company the manager must find a balance between different cultural values, local cultural values ​​and values. of the company.

Multicultural

It is the simultaneous presence of two or more cultures in a territory in which there may or may not be a possible interaction, a democratic society is established with the coexistence of many cultures in the same territory, in which there must be a recognition of the elements that they are not part of the own culture, as well as its value and equality.

It is important to point out that different cultural groups do not necessarily develop ties or exchange relationships.

However, for participation in State affairs, the different communities make use of instruments of political action to fight and enforce their rights, both political and social.

Multiculturalism is common in countries with a marked indigenous presence and with processes of colonial domination by a foreign power in the past.

Multiculturalism

It is more than the sum of cultural traditions in the same geographic space. It implies a positive assessment of human diversity. It could be said that it is a doctrine that defends tolerance, respect and coexistence between different cultures. This approach constitutes a defense of the equality of all cultural traditions, in such a way that one is not above the others, but that all are valued on an equal footing.

A certain cultural relativism is perceived, that is, the consideration that one culture is not superior to another and that, consequently, differences in customs must be accepted as a sign of tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

Sometimes it is understood as an opportunity, since it means that people with very different cultures can make up a richer, more plural society with a cosmopolitan spirit.

Cultural diversity is a desirable situation, as long as the multiplicity of traditions is accompanied by tolerance and respect. If different religious traditions coexist in a neighborhood of a big city in a civic and respectful climate, we are talking about the friendly and enriching face of multiculturalism.

However, some analysts of social phenomena emphasize the problematic aspects of this phenomenon of globalization. In this sense, there is a latent problem in plurality and we could express it with a series of questions: Are two cultural traditions that value the role of women in society differently? Is it tolerable for a human collective to live regardless of the traditions of a place and that may even practice customs contrary to the laws in force? Is it reasonable to be tolerant of those who do not practice tolerance? (Navarro, 2013).

Globalization

It is the interrelation between communities, peoples and nations, economically, socially and politically in search of unification. The model under which these factors interact has been exploited by multinational companies and governments.

A clear example of this are the factories transferred to developing countries, by large multinational corporations or governments with countries with strict environmental laws, which seek monetary benefits as the sole purpose, to satisfy their shareholders.

Globalization should allow different cultures to share their riches, not only economically, extending ties of solidarity to produce fair trade, thus achieving a balance.

One must be aware that precariousness is due to a series of injustices that can and must be fought against. Therefore, we must initiate solidarity paths to achieve progress in equality and social justice. Some have been achieved thanks to social pressure, such as the cancellation of External debt by rich countries.

Cultural globalization

It is the unification of various customs belonging to different communities. The term refers to the modifications experienced by different ways of life of different peoples. Due to it, customs, traditions and artistic expressions from different parts of the world have been adapting to the changes that have arisen from it.

Cultural globalization implies the unification of diverse cultural identities, tending to achieve homogeneity and its main underlying content being its own cultural identity.

This internalization includes the connection between territories, nations and continents and, fuses the elements of the past and the present. From it the values ​​of universal culture are socialized by inserting the global into the local.

It is through culture that individuals become aware of themselves and the world around them, allowing man to find a way of expression to create works that transcend. Cultural globalization generates a tendency towards homogeneity. A phenomenon that reflects a normalization of cultural expressions around the world.

As new customs and ideas arrive from different parts of the world, the characteristic culture of a region is influenced. In this way, regional cultures begin to adopt cultural and consumer practices that are corresponding to other nations and generally of a capitalist nature.

The consumption of brands, media, symbols that are taken as representative icons of a society then appears in regional customs. Emerging in this way, a global culture.

Having as a result of the conjunction of different elements typical of different cultures, the expansion of cultural models corresponding to capitalist societies.

Thanks to the media, countries are increasingly connected, both economically, technologically and culturally; increasingly resembling each other. This causes the gap that differentiates the diverse cultures of each society to become ever narrower. But, there is a predominance of the cultures of the most economically powerful countries. As a consequence, cultural diversity is less and less as a consequence of cultural globalization. At the same time and as a consequence of this, certain social groups that have been excluded from the globalized world, unify to react against globalization. Audiovisual media, for example, are beginning to be an important source of creation and transformation, becoming increasingly ubiquitous in the daily life of people in general. In this sense, the media are a tool for homogenizing global culture.

The cultural roots of a person clearly figure in decision-making, in whether he accepts roles that stand out from his perspectives, in taking on new challenges, in how he assimilates concepts and in whether he pigeonholes stereotypes .

A direct impact of infomulticulturalism is focused on consumers, throughout history, corporations or companies have sought to reach their customers through direct and indirect messages, all in order to persuade, seduce or stimulate the potential buyer and manage their behavior for a possible future.

The exchanges of information at the global level cause people to be citizens of the world, however the global standardization in which we live is very independent of the belief of each city and nation, in this way the interaction between its members requires leaders who have the knowledge and skills, the understanding and sensitivity to understand the diversity of cultures in which we operate and thus guide your company towards cultural diversity.

However, for this to be possible, it is necessary to have an open mind and know how to observe, synchronize and adapt in multicultural contexts and for this the role of the manager is determined because he is able to assimilate the values ​​of the team members and see beyond their ability to adapt to the global values ​​of other multinational organizations, obtain balance sheets of both local and global values, and thus be able to establish feelings of community. Multiculturalism brings benefits for a given organization since the cultural mix can lead to the realization of operational and cost benefits. (Amedirh, 2015)

A balance must be found between one's own cultural values, local cultural values, and company values. This balance is achieved through an open attitude that involves observation, timing, and adaptation. The role of the company should be to assimilate the values ​​of the team members beyond their capacity for adaptation and flexibility so that with the global values ​​of organizations, a balance of local / global values ​​can be obtained and thus create an essential community feeling.
