Preparation of the job interview

Anonim
Many times, because of the desire to get a job, mistakes are made when presenting an interview. A lot of confidence and a good attitude are the remedy to get out of this moment well.

The vast majority of us (if not all) have ever interviewed when we go to get a job. We feel a little anxious when the moment is about to arrive and we know that this conversation will be a very important point of analysis for a company to select its future workers.

For a company, choosing the best prospects is not an easy task. In societies like ours where unemployment levels are alarming and the competencies to get a good job are very close, the interview becomes a very efficient alternative for human resources managers to differentiate good applicants from bad ones.

Let's remember how we prepared when we went on previous occasions to this appointment. We always dressed in a very nice suit or dress and tried to make our physical appearance the best (the men shaved our beards and the women applied very sober makeup). But not only was a good personal presentation important, attitude and self-confidence were essential requirements to face this moment.

In general, it is recommended that an applicant finds out, before presenting the interview, about the company as such. Their functions, their importance within the market, as well as the sector in which the company "operates". If at a certain point the interviewer asks about the company, the interviewee will have a solid base to talk about topics specific to the organization.

However, it will not look all right for the individual to talk and talk for a long time about the company. For the person commanding the interview, this will seem like a sign that the applicant is very pretentious and the rating that will be given will not be very favorable, since the behavior of the interviewee was not the best.

You should always show a very positive attitude at the time of the talk. The applicant's willingness to do things well should be noted, of course, without talking too much since the interviewer could be overwhelmed by so many words and bored if they are not very constructive. In addition, this could be interpreted as evidence of insecurity and low discretion, aspects that interviewers do not usually like very much.

Good presentation, excellent behavior and knowledge of the position you want to fill. Inescapable Steps to Success in an Interview

Returning a little to the subject of clothing, it is good that the one used at the time of the interview, goes according to the applicant. That is, it does not look artificial because this will be noticed immediately. It should be to the taste of the person who wears it and above all, that they do not show dissatisfaction or discomfort for wearing, for example, very high heels or a tie that is very tight around the neck.

When the moment has passed, it is not a bad idea to call the company where the interview was conducted, and inquire about the luck with which it ran in said test. Of course, it is not advisable to communicate with the company many times in a short time, because this will be seen in the applicant as a sign of despair and therefore a bad image that will not allow them to access the position they are looking for.

But the recommendations are not just for the interviewee. The interviewer must strive for the talk to be enjoyable, constructive and above all, that it helps to discover what you really want to know about the interviewee. You must make a strategy where you can take the interview to the site you want and thus test the reactions of the applicant at all times.

The interviewer will also appreciate that the applicant does not take long to answer but does not rush to do so, that he asks for an explanation of a question if he has any questions and that he inquires a little more about the job that is applied for and the company as such. This will give a signal that the interviewee is really interested in working for the company and helping in any way possible if he or she agrees to the vacant position.

The most important thing at the time of an interview is to be honest with the person with whom we speak and with ourselves. Only in this way will we be sure that in the place where we are going to work, we will be able to develop our full potential and we will always feel good about the activities we carry out to achieve our goals.
