Use of the internet in learning

Anonim

On the Internet there are countless information, texts, images, data that can support or illustrate an explanation, a problem or a multitude of educational activities, or teaching situations, and that also do so with the force of verisimilitude, of what is alive, scientific or professional.

Likewise, there are Texts in any language or by any literary, philosophical, scientific author,… of any era, reproductions, as good as the resolution of our monitor admits, of sculptures from any museum anywhere in the world, with their technical sheet, there are images sent by the last space probe a few minutes before or simultaneously, dictionaries, grammars, maps, software, etc.

All these resources have the Internet for learning.

The notion of "knowledge society" emerged towards the end of the 1990s and is used particularly in academic circles, as an alternative to "information society" by some. In addition, the distinction between "knowledge" or "knowing" society (both translate the English term "knowledge society").

The notion of "knowledge" implies more precise or practical certainties, while knowledge encompasses a more global or analytical understanding. André Gorz considers that knowledge refers to "formalized, objectified content that cannot, by definition, belong to people… Knowledge is made of experiences and practices that have become intuitive evidences and customs".

For Gorz, "intelligence" covers the entire range of capabilities that allows combining knowledge with knowledge. He suggests, then, that “knowledge society” be translated as “intelligence society”.
