The meaning of life from a perspective of values and principles for young people

Anonim

We live in a time of great technological and scientific advances, but at the same time we are facing a world plunged into a severe crisis of values, which causes a marked setback in the social behaviors of the new generations; disinterest in violence in all its aspects, lack of respect and low level of responsibility.

Increase in problems of food abuse, depression, addictions and suicides. It is therefore important to recognize that practicing and developing values and principles are the best guide to a truly successful life.

People act according to who they are, in accordance with their values or principles, whether they like it or not. A person who is dishonest will act dishonestly, a lazy person will act like a lazy person.

The most common is that each person developed the values that they have lived in their family, or that they carry within their genes by inheritance; however, that does not condemn a person to be a certain way. For example, if I come from an irresponsible family, I don't necessarily have to live my life as irresponsible; on the contrary, give a twist to our sense of life, nurturing it with values and principles of happiness, coexistence and success that, when applied, will give us the ability to be victorious people in all areas of our life.

Values like love and friendship are related to joie de vivre and happiness. Surely when we talk to any young person and we ask him what he prefers, whether to be successful in some profession or become happy, almost everyone will choose happiness, although some still confuse the term satisfaction and achievement with that of happiness; because they think that having achieved something in life is synonymous with happiness, however, that is not the case.

There are young people who have not achieved many things and are happy and satisfied people, and others have been full of success and are unhappy people. Finding meaning in life is of vital importance, because otherwise we could be an easy prey to false senses, remembering that a void is always filled, since, in the world we live in, it does not allow deficiencies and very deeply we do not believe in they.

In the absence of a true purpose and meaning in life, we will find situations with which to fill that void, and by doing so we will be momentarily turning our backs on our inner drive, which motivates us to search within ourselves for the answers.

On the contrary, when we choose some false meaning and we expand it until you believe that we fill our life; in this way we choose to believe that we do not need to worry about making sense of our existence. That makes us feel more comfortable at least for a little while.

In case of not having a life plan, our daily activities could become that plan and make us live the illusion that we are giving meaning to our life, when reality is different; they give you no more than a fractional sense. They may occupy our thoughts and actions, but they cannot give us total satisfaction.

Finding meaning in our life is an adventure and it means truly believing that we have and will continue to manifest ourselves for a high purpose, which only we can envision and achieve.

Once this is understood, dedicating ourselves to find that purpose to give meaning to life is the natural choice; without forgetting that we must put into practice values and principles such as discipline, excellence and responsibility; that help us find success in our true sense of life.

Since that is the only way in which we can ensure that our life will be used in the best way, that our gifts and talents will be used to their full capacity, and only in this way can we achieve what we propose with a deep satisfaction, which it only produces true success.

Regardless of where you start, creating a life plan is essential. Every young person needs to find meaning in their life, to know why they are here; Once this plan is established, your activities and projects emerge from and are consistent with them. In this way their actions acquire meaning and they become aware of the capacity with which they can create their own reality at will, finding the meaning of their life.
