The management compass

Anonim

How good that we meet again through this route, this time I would like to talk about that mechanism that is activated in each one of us deep inside, in order to guide our managerial actions, all this fed by our beliefs, values, reflections, experiences, dogmas, paradigms, knowledge, external influences, among others, which are ultimately installed such as software in our wonderful and surprising brain, all this I call MANAGEMENT COMPASS.

We as human beings get involved in a dialectical hermeneutical process, where we are building our reality, it is enough in meaning and of course in interpretations around the facts that involve the individual in the organizational field, as managers we can make great efforts to make that reality the appropriate one and promote well-being to all or, failing that, to the vast majority, when we deviate from that path, that compass is activated to redirect us to the most appropriate path.

On several occasions I have had the great responsibility of evaluating together with my team, the management of a department or organization, as well as certain people regarding their skills and knowledge in the management field, in this process we basically look for if the person understands the basic principle of management and adding to this an adequate experience-training-comprehensive knowledge, strategic vision, excellent communication skills, and that you can always find that panoramic vision as a result of complex thinking, if so, we conclude that you have a COMPASS MANAGEMENT and that he will always find the best possible alternative to solve problems or challenges that arise in his important responsibility as MANAGER.

I think that when a person is placed in a job position and EVEN MORE in a managerial one, they must be responsible and ETHICAL enough to verify that they are really the right person to take on that role, this sounds very simple but believe me that It is not, perhaps due to laziness, negligence I do not know, a reflection-action is not carried out on the importance of it and this fact brings as a consequence great disasters to the organization and a direct impact on people who are under management of managers or "Bosses", when not paid attention to it, we end up having a line of "Bosses" and no Manager.

The person who has a managerial compass can find himself in very complicated situations but due to his managerial compass he will always make the best possible decisions in order to achieve the proposed objectives, based on that thought of balance between economic benefit and the construction of well-being.

Peter Drucker says that "Management is the specific and distinctive body of any organization." And I think that's the way it is, management has that power to make itself of a distinctive character in any organization where it exists, that's how a great level of effectiveness (efficient + efficiency) is achieved and much more.

At this time, the environment and its characteristics have changed a lot compared to the 80-90 years…, and we must be aware of that in order to act appropriately for the new generations and challenges of this new scenario, those who seek to continue managing organizations as in The days of yore will lead to great disaster for your organization.

The manager always has in his possibilities to build well-being from the organizations and that is something that makes a difference today, the organizations are not and do not have to be jails or punishment centers and for this we need more MANAGERS than bosses, as well as necessary it is for a better society to have more citizens than inhabitants.

I want to invite you to read my book on organizational management, entitled: ELASTIC MANAGEMENT, there you will find many important aspects for today's management.
