Already immersed in the second decade of the 21st century, we find ourselves in a very uncertain world economic and geopolitical context, in the economic aspect with a greater strengthening of the emerging economies led by the so-called BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) While the economies of the Western powers still do not show clear signs of a recovery, the United States economy barely grew by 0.2% in the first quarter of this year and the Eurozone, which maintains several of its members with financial problems, being the The most relevant case is that of Greece, which would be close to falling into a liquidity crisis.

In the geopolitical aspect due to the virtual new cold war between the member countries of NATO against Russia, China and their allies, due to various divergences in various aspects, such as the support of Russia and China for Syria, Iran and North Korea, the firm opposition by these countries to the United States' missile shield in Europe, the strengthening of commercial and military relations with Latin America, among others, which has generated instability in markets characterized by fluctuations in international stock markets.

All this has been generating a high competitiveness in organizations to face this context, therefore it is essential to apply reinforcement in managerial skills and the application of flexibility in the management of human resources in organizations, where leadership management comes from becoming more and more important.

Leadership means doing through others, influencing, guiding in a direction, that is, it involves achieving a change in attitude or behavior, since people tend to follow those who, from their point of view, offer them the means to satisfy their personal goals, the more managers understand what motivates their subordinates and how these motivations operate, and the more they reflect this understanding in the performance of their managerial actions, the more likely they are to be effective leaders.

In this sense, we can identify two relevant strategies for effective and efficient leadership management in organizations:

First strategy: be assertive

  • Always be part of the answer Have a program See the opportunity near every obstacle Say: we can do it See an answer for any problem Say: It's difficult, but possible

Second strategy: be transformative

  • Have orientation towards results Have the mission clear and establish a commitment to it Maintain excellent forms of communication Generate trust Have a high sense of creativity and innovation Create high levels of quality in treatment Be permanently learning Concern about the training and education of those directed Always have a positive attitude towards challenges things have a certain dose of idealism

That is why, given the current difficult international economic and geopolitical context, leadership management becomes more important and becomes a key tool for organizations, for their survival and development.
