Honesty a learned habit. test

Anonim

Honesty is one of the values most sought after by companies when hiring new employees, that is why people should encourage this habit, and like all habits are learned in childhood, because the habits learned in this stage will guide to the individual throughout his life, that is why the people in charge of the education of the little ones should punish dishonesty and thus promote its antonym, honesty.

Introduction

Values are being lost in today's society Macías and Macías (nd) mention that “during the 1990s, a worldwide concern for human behavior and its consequences in all areas began to manifest itself. Some of the causes mentioned are the loss of social conscience, the neglect of the education of the new generations, (understood as the total formation of the human being, not only the academic levels that can be achieved), and the loss of values and social and individual respect. "

This situation is alarming because values are an essential part of the harmony of society and the achievement of its objectives.

Main concept

The concept value has many definitions, depending on the field in which this term is occupied, from the philosophical perspective, it can be defined as: “Degree of utility or aptitude of things to satisfy needs or provide well-being or delight. Quality possessed by some realities, considered assets, for which they are estimable ”. (Spanish Royal Academy, 2014)

From the ethical perspective it can be defined as: “Property of all objects including physical objects as well as abstract objects, which represents their level of importance. The ethical value of something shows its degree of importance, with the aim of determining what action or life is better to perform or live, or at least an attempt to describe the value of different actions ”. (Wikipedia, 2016)

Another definition of value is: "high price" (García, Pelayo and Gross, 1987).

There are many values that can be used in different scientific and technological fields, one of the areas where values are most used is in human resources in administration, and from an administrative perspective the values are defined as: "Guiding principles of adopted behavior by people; to fulfill them, even penalties or sufferings can be passed ”. (Arias and Heredia, 2006).

Secondary concept

Among the values most appreciated by companies are responsibility, honesty, teamwork, efficiency, among others. (Balderas, 2015)

The most important value for many companies is honesty and this concept can be defined as: “Composure, moderation. Modesty or modesty. Decorum, modesty ”. (Reoyo, 2005)

Another definition of honesty is: "Set of characteristics that people have that act fairly and fulfill their responsibilities." (Palés, 2004)

Argumentation

As mentioned previously, honesty is one of the main characteristics for hiring personnel for a specific company, because as stated by the first collegiate court of the fifteenth circuit: “The lack of probity and honesty of the worker is projected by his attitude of not proceed correctly in the functions entrusted, departing from the obligations that are in charge or proceeding against them, with the damaged intention of harming the employer party ”.

For the aforementioned, no company that within its values is honesty or honesty, will hire a dishonored person to harm the organization, that is why honesty is of vital importance.

Honesty is neither bought nor sold, honesty is acquired from day to day, in each act that is performed, because as stated by Alvarado, Montenegro and García (nd) “a habit is a stable mechanism that creates skills or abilities, it is flexible and can be used in various situations of daily life "

Personal contribution

Habits are formed from an early age, that is why teachers of young children (primary, mainly) should not allow their students to cheat on exams, because if they allow it, plagiarism and theft are encouraged because as It is mentioned by the denomination of Jehovah's Witnesses, “to copy is to steal”.

If plagiarism is encouraged, the minor is taught to steal and make dishonesty part of their daily life and in this way, we are predestining them not to be hired or to be fired by their superiors.

conclusion

Honesty is a value that is being lost in society and it is what is predestining many people not to be hired by companies or organizations, to be unemployed and that encourages crime, that is why those in charge of the education of children from their earliest age should punish dishonesty and thus promote honesty, because the stage where the person learns the values that will guide him throughout his life is childhood.
