Artificial intelligence in organizations

Anonim

The "faculty of reasoning" that a non-living agent has, such as a robot, is what is known as artificial intelligence (AI). This topic is very much in vogue in the business world due to the impact it has generated, the one it is generating the one that generated.

Nowadays, AI is changing the work that we know until today, this is increasing rapidly as intelligent technologies are incorporated into organizations, so much so that many collaborators with a high level of preparation in their area are experiencing a fresh start thanks to the addition of AI.

As managers we must ride this wave that comes at unimaginable speeds as soon as possible, it is essential that we do what is necessary so that the skills of our human talent evolve also hand in hand with AI, for maximum use.

This is an issue that we cannot and should not ignore, it is a reality, we have to plan as soon as possible an adequate increase in our actions to be able to meet the challenge that artificial intelligence means for the development of organizations, for this we must also as responsible strive to be very clear about the capabilities and skills that our people need and have the right approach and achieve the best coordination and integration between human talent and AI.

Many prospective reports on this topic tell us that many changes are coming and that many jobs will disappear, which means that we must develop skills that AI cannot count on, human talent will always be important for the development of the organization this has not changed so far and it is unlikely that it will change, it is here where aspects as important as creativity, complex reasoning, social aspects, emotional intelligence among other uniquely human skills, are essential that we develop them to a high level in our people as well as that adequate training regarding AI, this will give us a great advantage as an organization, for which as a manager we must start NOW, in my opinion,The true value of this topic is in the joint work of human talent and AI, in this way great advances will be achieved without a doubt.

In this sense, Ken Goldberg, professor and department head of industrial engineering and operations research at UC Berkeley, instead of accepting the idea that robots will overtake humans and replace us in the workforce, he defends "multiplicity.": a hybrid vision of how new technologies and people could work in association with human goals. To some extent, he says, this is how AI is already starting to work.

We must be able to show that we are prepared and ready to adapt to that world of work built around intelligent people and machines, we must enhance our motivation to learn and adapt to live with this.

As managers we must open our eyes to this issue that has been affecting the ways of doing things, it does not hurt to make investments in the medium and long term for the development of these skills and technologies necessary to stay in business development, artificial intelligence is here to stay and continue to evolve, so let's commit to this reality and pay attention to all this.

I am convinced of the fact that in order to stay ahead, managers must not only understand their own business domain, but must also inform themselves about artificial intelligence capabilities, this fact will go a long way towards driving innovation and competitive advantage. of the organization.
