Who has taken my cheese? short book review by spencer johnson

When we talk about the different changes that as people we must face during different stages of our lives, be it sentimental, work, among many others, we realize that it is not easy, it is for this reason we begin to experience various emotions, such emotions as those that we can recognize in the text, which at the same time is very useful as a guide to face these changes, 4 types of personalities and attitudes. We refer mainly to the characters in this story, their names are FISGÓN and SCURRIDIZO, both mice, and also HAW and HEM, some Lilliputians.

4 personalities that many times we represent ourselves at the moment when we are going through a process of change or transition, that is, Snooper and Elusive, mice that represent people in general who do not dedicate themselves to thinking about things 100 times nor the steps to follow in the face of these changes, beings who were represented as faithful workers, capable of adapting to any situation, and the main thing above all fear, insecurity, not the prime of their decision-making.

However, in the other corner we find two Lilliputians, represented by the names of Hem and Haw, through these characters it is possible to identify two types of people, that is, both were partners in their work, but unlike Of the mice, only one, HAW, represents perseverance and the desire to move forward in the face of change processes, that is, when it was seen that he had no other solution than to get out of his comfort state to literally look for his Cheese, he realized that fears cannot disable us to continue doing things or rather continue living in a world in constant change, unlike his great partner HEM, who being trapped by his fears and insecurities and at the same time his resistance to the change, it became trapped in a "vicious circle", that is,Faced with these attitudes adopted by the latter, we can observe a type of personality that in the face of negativity prefers to remain stagnant and not continue, not evolve and therefore not develop and adapt to something that is as inevitable as change.

Thus, after describing these 4 personalities, personifying those personified by mice and Lilliputians, they clearly reflect how we behave in difficult situations., such as the one that we mainly find in reading, which is what happens to us mainly when they take us out of our comfort state and cause us a break in what we could call a routine, how we behave and how we act and we cope with the situation, this is mainly the problem that involves reading, since we find ourselves, through the characters, with different ways of acting, some get angry, they can get frustrated, or they see the situation as a negative factor of their lives, from which they do not dare to leave, due to the fears that haunt them, but we also find emotions linked to positive factors, that is, when we are faced with this problem, "CHANGE", when they cause us a break in our state of comfort and conformity,We can also experience positive feelings and emotions, such as those we could detect in the text, one of the characters was able to see this situation in a positive way, he knew how to take it as an opportunity for growth, evolution and development, since, Although many of us do not want to, there are always fears or a degree of resistance to change.

Despite this, this great conflict caused the characters to experience these emotions, and in a few words, causing a instability which in turn did not allow reality to be seen, that is, to see that this was only a step to achieve success or failure, depending on the behavior and attitude adopted in this situation.

Finally, what we can clearly understand from this text is mainly the following ideas, as to finish this summary / analysis, since it is the best way to graph the teachings or learnings that this reading can leave us.

Ideas for analysis (reflections) of the book: Who has taken My Cheese ?:

• We all, as human beings, need to find our way, and even if we don't want to, we will always encounter situations, as represented in this story, that is, when they take us out of our state of comfort and cause a process of "change ”.

• We must learn to understand the processes of change as an opportunity for our development, both at work and at the family level or at the sentimental level. Understand it as something positive for our success.

• Although fear and uncertainty, in the face of change or transition processes, are something totally inevitable, we must learn to work with them, that is, this does not prevail in our way of adapting and understanding change, the desire to live something new.

• Also, we must be able to understand that many times thinking many times about the decision we must make, in these cases, is not very good, since it makes us question things that in the first instance seem to be the way out, and that work as solution, but that unfortunately given the insecurity that we cause ourselves, because of the questioning that is asked a thousand times, we miss a great opportunity to get out of the "labyrinth in search of our new path."

• Finally understand the change a complement for our personal-professional growth.
