Corporate social responsibility with a teleological approach. test

Anonim

In this essay I will talk about the importance of corporate social responsibility, and be able to understand it from a teleological approach, since this is a factor that affects our environment. Because many people interact day by day with companies-institutions.

Social responsibility can be understood as the obligations that any individual from a specific place has, in order to preserve and care for their environment. It can also be identified as the decisions or attitudes that people make in society, therefore by being able to carry them out, it will not only affect the person directly, but will also affect the individuals who interact with them.

In the preparation of this essay, I will relate it to teleology, since this is a very little investigated topic, however very useful for everyday life, which can be understood as the beginning or end of things.

Keywords:

Social responsibility, Companies, Teleology.

Introduction:

Over time, we have realized how important it is to be "responsible", it is a word that has a lot of meaning, and we can use it, either in a person or in an institution-company. This essay will deal with corporate social responsibility, at the same time being able to analyze it from a teleological approach. But before we can tackle the issue we must be clear about what corporate social responsibility is.

We question ourselves, what is social responsibility?

Social responsibility for the secretary of economy published on May 27, 2016, corporate social responsibility (CSR), is defined as the active and voluntary contribution to social, economic and environmental improvement by companies, with the aim of improving its competitive and value situation and its added value. Social welfare is also a task for multinational companies.

1 The secretary of economy (SE), through the national point of contact, has the mission of promoting corporate social responsibility, through the guidelines for multinational companies of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

In short, corporate social responsibility, are voluntary actions to obtain an improvement in society, and maintain a balance both economically and socially.

Aristotle addresses the problem of teleology in several of his works 2. Perhaps of all of them the most important is its "Physics" (ca 324-323 A of NE). s. Physics is the text in which what the tradition knew as "Natural Philosophy" is elaborated and, unlike Metaphysics, which also speaks of teleology 3, it has a greater structural unity. We must also mention the treatise On the parts of animals (De partibus animalium), unlike other eminently descriptive works.

For Aristotle, teleology is the point of view from which we appreciate and define things, not insofar as they are mechanically caused, but insofar as they are arranged for the realization of an end.

With the things that individuals do without thinking about the future, but only seeing the present, not counting on the consequences or benefits that these decisions can bring.

In this section I will talk about the social responsibility of companies, including teleology. That can be understood as the reason or explanation of the purposes or merits that it pursues, whether it is a being or an object. I will explain most of the actions that companies must comply with, referring to the companies located in the state of Chiapas, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, that try to help the environment, keeping it more careful, later explaining the advances, benefits as well as the consequences that are They have carried on over the years.

Development

As time has progressed, many people begin to worry about the way they will live in the future, as well as the need and concern to be able to afford benefits and resources available to their families, or close people.

This is where a very important role comes in about it, the things we have done in the past and how it will affect or benefit society. Most companies look for a way to help people with these types of problems, it is their social responsibility to provide all the necessary tools, so that the individuals who interact with it, can achieve their objectives, and be satisfied with the results obtained. Therefore, we can see the great responsibility that companies must assume to be able to solve any type of problem that may arise.

On the other hand, we identify that in the state of Chiapas, it has undergone very important changes in decision-making to society. All human beings that inhabit this planet, directly and indirectly relate to the environment that surrounds us, we practice sports, we go out with family to a picnic, etc. Companies have a very important job in caring for the environment, since some of them interact with their environment, many company leaders are committed to respecting the environment and being able to have a more just society with respect.

Corporate social responsibility can appear in different ways, be it environmental, economic, political.

But our thoughts as individuals are so different, since for some people some things are good, but for many others they are bad. We demand social responsibility towards companies, since they make decisions that affect many people. One of the many consequences of companies not being socially responsible, can be seen reflected in the pollution of the environment, such as in the seas, the chemical waste that companies produce, on many occasions they do not find how to get rid of them, because they can being very toxic, then it is easier for them to be able to throw them into the seas, rivers, lakes; They are not responsible for their actions, that is where social responsibility comes into play, seen from a teleological perspective, which implies that they do not think about the consequences in the future,They do not realize that as the years went by, it affected the animals so much, producing malformations, and not being able to develop to their full potential, also in the scarcity of some aquatic beings, due to the high chemical emissions contained in the reagents they discarded. It would not only affect the ecosystem of living beings, but it would also have an impact on the commercialization of food, since living beings are contaminated, they will go together with people in their daily lives, producing various diseases in them.It would not only affect the ecosystem of living beings, but it would also have an impact on the commercialization of food, since living beings are contaminated, they will go together with people in their daily lives, producing various diseases in them.It would not only affect the ecosystem of living beings, but it would also have an impact on the commercialization of food, since living beings are contaminated, they will go together with people in their daily lives, producing various diseases in them.

Also the responsibility of companies from the teleological point of view, is that they do not think about what will be of their future generations, since this problem can reach a large number of copies of beings that live in the oceans, lakes or rivers; thus leaving their future generations with very low food resources, as well as production resources, since at the same time, because they do not have the resources for daily consumption, commerce would have many losses of money, because companies will not want to buy their products from poor quality, so the export would not be carried out.

By not carrying out the aforementioned export, many projects would be lost, since they would not have the money to carry them out. Many of these projects benefit society, so it would not only affect the company directly, but also all the people who interact with them every day.

conclusion

All people must be responsible, since it is up to us that life is better, to be able to build a world free from pollution, that all green areas are protected and properly maintained, since the soil, the air, water, are just a few of many factors that are fundamental to human life on this planet.

Be aware of and take responsibility for our actions, contributing to society, and make this plant much better for future generations. Since it is up to us to be able to do it.
