This syndrome of the pot full of gold at the end of the rainbow persists for two fundamental reasons: one, because most people need to believe in something - no matter how crazy - and two, because of the perennial human need to reach a state of complete satisfaction, of enormous and finished triumph.
This explains, in part, the massive and dizzying assimilation of secret recipes that, however, compared to those offered by authors such as Anthony Robbins, Deepak Chopra, Stephen Covey, Dale Carnegie, Napoleon Hill and Wayne Dyer, among other renowned authors, turn out to be very poor and caricatured copies of theses and motivational perspectives much more elaborate and better supported.
The rest of the explanation is due to the powerful media factor, capable of turning any hoax or novelty into the word of the pulpit - it is worth noting that The Secret got its spectacular promotion thanks to the "little hand" that Oprah Winfrey gave it in her fantastic show-, and of the aforementioned telesales-type commercial strategies, loaded with grotesque exaggerations and the famous before and after advertising cliché: are you still not visible, are you not rich, are you not influential, you are not slim, you are not wanted Isn't it multi-orgasmic ?!
