Uncertainty is the lack of knowledge, doubt, perplexity, hesitation or lack of certainty about a situation that may interest us at any given time. Uncertainty goes hand in hand with insecurity and often causes us to freeze or interrupt our decisions and abruptly change our plans. Uncertainty also occurs when there is a lack of consistency in the information we receive and we have difficulty obtaining details or more accurate information than we want.

These information deficiencies can put us at odds with what might be known or known about a certain situation that interests us, affecting our creative process and significantly reducing the range of our actions. There are other definitions of uncertainty that I could mention and they are approached from a physical, statistical or chemical point of view, but all of them have in common the creation of a feeling of "restlessness" among human beings.

Certainty is the opposite of uncertainty and is one of the agents that facilitate us to break paradigms, bring out our healthiest curiosity and help us implement new methodologies to provoke the necessary changes and that we really advance in the achievement of our goals. Uncertainty is killer of certainty and infallible poison for concentration.

We are used to hearing that in times of crisis we become more creative but this loses value, at least for me because when we are in crisis we are stressed and worried, our level of adaptation increases but in conditions of little concentration. In moments of crisis we act with limitations and when we act we do it with fear and insecurity. No one can tell me that it is beneficial to act on the basis of fear and uncertainty.

We can assure that when we are in the presence of uncertainty, the restlessness and desire to get out of that insecure situation increases, an adaptation process takes place, the desire to identify the problem from cover to cover intensifies, to enter a new situation. control phase. Of course there will be a state of acceptance that without bowing down will allow us to act with greater concentration and true focus on the problem.

As usual I leave you 5 tips to deal appropriately with uncertainty:

  • Accept that we are facing a problem and that we are going to put all our efforts and strength to face it. Let's accept the problems without fear since fear is an additional limitation. As soon as you realize that things are going astray, accept that the problem exists and identify it. Accepting the problem is putting the cards on the table, exposing doubts in the open air, and beginning to gather remedial information. Serenely adapt to the inevitable changes that occur. This will mean that we will somehow unlock the imagination by breaking molds. We know that crises, even if temporary, will change our routine without a doubt. New things and different experiences fully accepted have the power to enrich our power of unconscious adaptation,It will lessen our internal struggle and improve our security by acting. Every step we will take being prepared will be firm steps towards building a better path. Adapting to changes means accepting them with dignity and self-evaluating the reasons for many situations that led you to feel in the midst of uncertainty. Put yourself on the safe and smart guard to act with the resources you have available. Once you have activated your wits process different and numb or blocked areas of your brain will be activated in you. A search for solving ideas around you will undoubtedly begin. Don't be afraid to talk and rethink your problems to others. You will get new approaches to the same problem, and uncertainty will have a limited life.Identify in a list what you can control and what you cannot control yet. Once this exercise is done, the information about the problem will begin to have consistency, everything will gradually mesh in the process of being solved. With a well-made list the doubts and perplexity that makes you go back to uncertainty will be dispelled. Certainty will begin to prevail longer among your ideas and you will feel more confident. With this list, also do the exercise of the three scenarios: the worst, the regular and the best of all. De-stress with activities other than the usual ones that allow you to clear your mind and gain concentration on solving problems. Start by losing the fear of giving yourself a “pause” since they will allow you to take a breath and the time necessary to get your bearings again. The breaks are excellent to combat stress, they help not only to discover the origin of many uncertainties but to implement solutions as well as avoid falling into panic situations.

Finally, I say goodbye, emphasizing that despite the fact that Venezuelans did not go through a crisis and surrounded by elements that generate uncertainty, we have also become more successful, remarkable fighters and excel in solving problems. There is no Venezuelan who does not find an ingenious and correct solution to problems. It does not matter if they are general or collective in nature, without being a country problem or personal. We know very well that we can combat uncertainty not only with action plans but with optimism. We are different because we attack problems based on our values and our very Creole experience of things.
