Have you ever wondered why some people get results and others don't, even if they seem to do the same? I do it continuously and the question is that although it "seems" that they do the same, surely it is not so. So what makes the difference?

I have been thinking about what I do in my business to have results and these are the things that I consider to have been essential to have results both in your business and in your profession:

1. Do what you have to do

Many people write to me saying that they don't do something because "I am not motivated, I don't feel like it, I am tired" and a long etc. Each one has their circumstances and priorities, but one thing is clear, if you want your business (or your profession) to succeed, you have to do, not just think or plan, DO. As I once heard Juanjo Azcárate say: "No fear, no laziness, no shame."

There is only one exception, when you really don't want to do something because it doesn't match your values, for example, that's something else. But as I always tell my coaching clients, if you feel embarrassed / scared / lazy, you put up with it.

Doing instead of thinking and planning makes a difference. And yes, we are all human and we can sometimes falter, nothing happens, we accept and move on.

2. Don't do things randomly

Just because you do what you have to do doesn't mean you do anything. My clients know that I always talk about following a strategy for everything. Nothing to get up and say "let's see what I do today", so all you can do is waste time. You always have to be clear about your next step and this works for both business and your career. This is where planning comes into play, knowing at all times where you are and where you want to go, in order to decide which movement is the most practical at the moment.

This is especially important because we are overflowing with information and if you are not clear about what you have to do, you will end up lost, busy with a thousand things but without doing anything really relevant or taking your business forward.

3. Improve

Personally, I am always experimenting and trying to improve my results, continually learning useful things for my business, I do not stay stagnant even if I do well. When you have a strategy and you know where you are, you also know what you can improve and you focus on it. Of course there are less active stages where instead of rowing you let the current carry you, so to speak, but only to take a breather.

It can also happen that you are completely satisfied as you are and you do not want to grow or change anything, so perfect you keep doing what works as long as you do well. That will depend on your goals and the type of business you want. You do not have to do what others are doing, you can stay as you are or you can go for more, it is your decision, the important thing is that you are happy with what you do.

4. Have fun

I really enjoy what I do in my business, from talking to my clients, to writing articles, or learning how to increase conversion rates or to sell better. I love it. Of course, I do not like everything, there is always some part that you like less and it is normal, that nobody thinks that you have to like absolutely everything, that is not real.

For me it is essential to enjoy what I do, it does not have to be true for you too, perhaps for you, work is simply a means to achieve other things and it is fine. In my case, enjoying does not tire me, persists and, of course, when you like what you do, others also notice it. Is not the same.

Not only that but it is also important to have fun in your free time because, on the one hand, who knows, it may be a new source of income in the future. Like when I signed up for the coaching course simply because I liked it, for example, and look where I am.

In addition, when you take care of your personal development and enjoy, it also shows on the professional side.

5. Invest

In my opinion it is essential to invest to learn how to do things well. Trying to do it all by yourself to save money doesn't work and the sooner you accept it, the sooner you'll prosper. Many people want to have it all without investing anything, I'm sorry but it doesn't work that way. First of all, if you don't invest in anything, why would someone invest in you? Don't be the type of customer you don't want for yourself…

For my business, investing in programs and mentors has been a before and after in all aspects, motivation, energy, results and income. There is little more to say. Start with what you can and you know, if you have a business you have no other choice, it's part of the game.
