Do you feel like a yo-yo in your business management? Does one part of you want to move forward and grow and the other pull you back and refuse to leave your comfort zone? I have good news for you: It is normal to have these feelings in any undertaking! Learn 7 steps to manage these feelings, so you can innovate and dedicate yourself successfully to the growth of your business.

A business that is not constantly growing is automatically going backwards. If you stay static at whatever level you have achieved, this really is a setback for your business, and it hurts your sales. So I am continually looking for ways to innovate on my membership site.

Recently, I had the great pleasure of offering my teachings in the context of a face-to-face event, “Expand Your Vision”, in which I shared my online business model for the first time with a select group of entrepreneurs.

For some this is not a big deal, as they are used to exhibiting in front of various groups of people. For me it was not like that. It was the first time that I came out of hiding behind my screen to position myself in front of an audience that came from a new market whose behavior I did not know.

Spooky! It was a great step for me and I had to deal with many doubts and fears to successfully reach my goal.

So I decided to share my experience and the feelings that accompanied it, so that you realize that you do not need to have all the cards up your sleeve to succeed with your membership site.

If today you feel like you are a yo-yo… part of you wants to move forward and grow and another part pulls you back and refuses to leave your comfort zone, this article is for you!

These are the 7 steps that I usually take to innovate and advance my business:

1. Ongoing exposure with at least one mentor who has already gotten where I want to go

I am constantly investing in mentors who inspire me and encourage me to move forward. I pay thousands of dollars a year to my mentors, not only to teach me, but also to become part of their world. Sometimes I just talk to them to hear what they are doing and how they are doing it.

2. I wonder: "Is it from God?" "Is it God's time?"

When a new idea for my business is born in my heart, the first thing I do is consult with God, to have the absolute certainty that is His. God always guides us with peace, never with fear.

3. I am looking for the necessary education to prepare myself well

Once I have the green light of God, I prepare. This is one of the areas where I have seen HIS fidelity the most: every time I have had to learn something new, the right resource and mentor magically appear before my eyes!

4. I take action and implement

Once I'm sufficiently prepared, I make my plan and execute it. For me, "enough" means that I know the steps that I must take and I am clear where I can review any of them. I have the tendency to act before I have everything clear, to force myself to “be at the foot of the canyon” and not fall into the famous “paralysis analysis” with useless fears of being wrong.

5. Dealing with doubts and fears

Once step # 4 is taken, you can't go back, which is why a tremendous battle breaks out… in your mind! Doubts and fears begin to assail you:

  • "Have I done the right thing?" "Will they buy me?" "Will it be a great failure?"

This is when you must remain calm, rest in God and silence those voices that are overwhelming you with negative messages. I study the Bible, meditate on the Word of God and declare God's promises about my life and my business out loud.

6. I ask for advice from my mentors

During the execution of my plan I am in contact with my mentors, to help me make the necessary adjustments as I go along.

7. Triumph is in the humility of appreciating small beginnings

If there is one thing I have learned as an online entrepreneur it is not to underestimate the small beginnings. Although it is not logical and it does not happen in any other area of our lives, we want to live success now.

Success is achieved with perseverance and dedication. To reach it you must go through a process during which God forges your character, changes your heart and prepares you so that you can sustain that success with the responsibility that it deserves.

Honor that process with humility and be amazed by the success. It will manifest as you are faithful to walk in the light that God has given you for the moment you are living today.
