Stress is part of business, and more when it comes to attracting more customers and increasing sales. The problem is that many times this stress directly affects our performance, causing diseases and deficiencies that allow us to be 100% in what we owe, the growth and management of our company.

Here are 8 things that have worked for me to keep stress at bay.

Don't let the stress of attracting customers affect you

Sometimes attracting customers can take a little more time or effort than we had in mind. The problem is that often that drought is accompanied by stress and its inseparable gastritis, colitis, migraine, insomnia, etc.

The interesting thing is that there are studies that indicate that a large percentage of diseases are related to stress, since it is said that it creates such an imbalance in the body that the immune system is affected, and the acidity of the body increases, which makes us more prone to disease. And working with heartburn, headache or tiredness is simply very difficult.

This time I would like to share what has worked for me to keep stress at bay:

1. Identify why it is important to attract customers. The obvious reason is economic, because without income, a business does not live, period. But it's important that we take that power away from money and focus on why having more customers is important. How do we impact people's lives through our services? Why is what we do worth it? What real benefit do people get from investing in us?

2. Be consistent. Your feelings, thoughts and actions have to be consistent. You cannot feel uneasy and worried and at the same time have calm and positive thoughts and act purposefully and energetically. The good news is that it has been shown that by controlling your thoughts and / or your actions, you can control your feelings, so start by focusing on the good and positive of your business, trust your actions and let things flow.

3. Face the situation. If things don't go the way you want them to, it's perhaps because something still needs to be done, or you have to try different things. Don't let things happen to you and face the situation once and for all. Take the bull by the horns and make the changes that have to be made.

4. Write. The idea is to get everything out of your mind. Start by writing down everything you have to do, and when I say everything, I mean everything, regardless of whether or not they are activities that have to do with your business. By doing so, you are emptying your mind and giving it a rest, and by the way, you will surely avoid forgetting certain things.

5. Eat fruits and vegetables. And this is not because the Ministry of the Interior forces me to include it, but because having a balanced diet helps your body to have all the necessary nutrients to cope with stress.

6. Exercise. They say that walking 1000 steps a day is enough. Try it. You can do things like park at the farthest point from the mall door, walk to nearby places, or take a longer than normal walk with your dog. If you have access to sports facilities, what better. If not, try climbing stairs instead of taking the elevator.

7. Meditate. This point alone can make a huge difference in your life. Take 10 minutes a day to be quiet, sitting, with your eyes closed and focus on your breathing. Meditation will keep your brain waves more stable, which will prevent your reactions from being exaggerated in less important situations (and by the way, it will help you to be more creative when coming up with ways to attract clients).

8. Sleep 8 hours. Some people say that it is not necessary, but getting enough sleep helps the brain, and the body in general, to repair itself from the oxidation suffered during the day (yes, the same thing that happens to an apple without a peel, it happens to us). us), and ideally, your sleeping and waking times should always be the same.

Let me ask you…

Do you think stress has ever affected your performance and your business? do you think it's worth it? How do you deal with stress?

I suggest you…

That you try at least a couple of these points during a week and send me an email telling me how it went and if you have felt any difference.
