This project aims to develop agrotourism in the Daule area, canton of the Guayas Province, being one of the most productive sectors of the Ecuadorian coast for its production of rice and tropical fruits. Introduction

The privately owned Mangal Azul Agro-tourism farm is located at Km 27 ½ via Daule, facing the Daule River, is part of the old La Rosario hacienda, which over time has been divided by sales of parcels or small farms, or product of inheritance distributions.

What is "agrotourism"?

"Agrotourism" we call here the form of tourism in which rural culture is economically used for tourism.

It is similar to ecotourism, but it does not try to attract tourists with nature, but above all with cultivated landscapes. If tourist deals increase the incomes of the rural population, agrotourism can promote regional development.

For the rural population itself to help conserve the natural variety, it must recognize it as valuable and worthy of protection.

There are numerous other forms of tourism in rural areas, but they are not agrotourism in the strict sense: p. ex. ethnotourism, project tourism, health tourism, historical tourism, cultural tourism and adventure tourism. The concept of "agroecotourism" is generally used as a synonym for "agrotourism".

The cultural landscape as a tourist goal

On all continents, the richness of useful plant species and varieties and the multiplicity of breeds of Domestic animals was the work of the peasants. These adapted plants and animals over time to new breeding objectives, different habitats and climatic conditions, different uses and individual preferences. • Strong winters (the farm is flooded up to 50 cm above level 0 and from the shore 40 meters inward)

• Neighbors who do not keep their animals in pens

• Neighbors and inhabitants of the surroundings occasionally throw garbage and dead animals into the river.

Conclusions

The objective of this project is to promote the agroecological market in the province of Guayas, entering it as it is still very poor due to the variety of offers. Specifically in the Daule area.

In turn, these 5 people can do the same to gather a group of at least 5 people and receive all services for free.
