Self esteem. eigenvalue as a universal law

Anonim

When we talk about low self-esteem, especially in the context of depression, one of the factors that most people have in their minds is that their life is little, that they are worth nothing, that they only occupy a place in the world, that only cause problems. When you think that your life is a hindrance, or that you contribute nothing, then you must take into account this fundamental principle, and that of self- worth as a Universal Law.

In the world and throughout history, there are laws created by human beings so that civilization is possible, so that society works in harmony. These laws may change between different regions or over time, and some may even be debated or repealed. But there are other laws that are universal, that exist so the whole world is against it. They are laws that are always followed, and are not altered by human experience or by history.

One of these universal laws is your intrinsic value. Every person, including you, has their own personal value, which does not depend on your history, your parents, the place where you were born, the opinions of other people and not even your own opinion of yourself. Each person is born with a package of gifts, talents, and skills. Some of these are common to all humans, but others are special to you.

You are not an accident of nature. All these things make you a unique person, with a particular armament of qualities that have the potential to grow. No matter what they have told you or what you think you are, the reality is that you have the possibility to grow, develop, fulfill a mission and be able to provide a service. Even if your self-esteem is so damaged that you cannot see this, it is a reality that you must accept.

If at some point you have thought that your life is worth nothing, and that other people are more valuable, then you are in a paradox. Sometimes one can feel that it is a drop of water in the middle of an ocean, or a grain of sand in the middle of a desert. But the ocean is made up of countless drops of water, and the desert is made up of countless grains of sand. In other words, if you affirm that your life is not worth, by definition the life of any human being who has existed in history is not valid either, and this is not true.

You also have this value, which is intrinsic by the mere fact of being human. You have talents of your own, things you do very well, and enormous potential. So if the idea that you are useless is going through your mind, it is a distortion, a trick of your mind, a paradigm favored by a thousand possible causes, but which is not real, and is a paradox in itself. Your value is something that you have and that you cannot take away, no matter how low your self-esteem is.
