Social and civic competence is a set of skills that allow people to live harmoniously and democratically in society, respecting and valuing the human rights and cultural characteristics of each people.
Having this competence developed is essential so that our children feel part of society and can take active roles in it. However, this is not something that is encouraged in the classroom on a regular basis. Therefore, families must incorporate dynamics to facilitate the development of this competence in their sons and daughters.
Visit cultural fairs
An interesting idea for your son or daughter to appreciate the benefits of interculturality is to visit fairs or parties that members of a different culture celebrate.
Thanks to the cultural and racial mix that we can find in almost any city in the world today, it is possible to delve into the life and customs of many peoples. It is only necessary to know where these holidays are celebrated and to program the family calendar to go together to one of them. Go with the whole family to a traditional art workshop
In all places, workshops of ceramics, painting or any other artistic manifestation are carried out, in order to transmit and preserve the traditional culture of their ancestors.

Many times, children find it difficult to take care of the environment because it simply does not seem to be something that others do. For this reason, by carrying out actions such as those that we propose, you will give them the strength and conscience to take care of the place in which they live, so that the people they love can also enjoy it.
As you may have noticed, working on core competencies is much easier than it sounds. It is not just about organizing and adapting the actions that we already carry out as adults to the world of your children to make them closer, and with this, promote their adherence.
Educating them from a young age in social competence will ensure that their integration into society is easier and more natural. Therefore, it is worth trying at least once a week to make them participants in the cultural and intercultural life of their town, neighborhood or city.
