1. By way of presentation and executive summary
1. General
The exploration of knowledge is more satisfactory than the accumulation of them!
The previous sentence would have wished it to be mine, but in reality it belongs to the Zoologist and Naturalist Víctor Martínez (Quetzalito), who, being very young (almost a child), took me as his pupil, offering me not only his friendship, but his wise advice. and I believe that his main legacy was to encourage me to “theoretical and practical” research, a seed that I plant and I believe has prospered satisfactorily, in a very personal way.
Taking as a basis the expression of my "Master Martinez", a purpose that I have always had, is not to remain in doubt, I even experiment with my own life, trying to establish not only him, why? from a my psychosocial behavior, but the reaction of the people around me. Sometimes I do it intentionally many others involuntarily, without measuring, unfortunately the results are often counterproductive.
Trying to follow this philosophy of life and professional framework (sometimes intellectual), I have formulated a series of hypotheses, ideas, concepts, definitions and arguments, that during the development of this personal experiment called "EPOE Technical Data Sheets", I seek to strengthen the " technical criteria ”of the operational, technical and professional personnel who directly (or indirectly) develop actions in favor of the management, planning, conservation, management and administration of natural resources, biodiversity, ecosystems and in a very particular way“ protected areas ”.
Why particularly protected areas? It is simple, I consider that they are the last bastion we have to conserve our way of life on "planet earth", without them we are leaving our "self-destructive" instincts in total freedom, which despite being responsible for our significant development social, economic, technological and political, are also responsible for the level of environmental deterioration, which ultimately threatens our very existence.
2. A new evolutionary approach to the “Tragedy of the Commons”, the version of the School of Organic Evolutionary Planning (EPOE)
By examining the psychological behavior of "man" (without distinction of gender), I have been able to determine that we do not have a "real" parameter on the conservation and management of natural resources and biodiversity, even the so-called "ancestral races", where there is a high level of human-nature interrelation, the behavior is diaphanous and changing, at one point they are throwing a prayer to their ancestral or present gods asking for forgiveness for the damage that they commented and within a few minutes they are getting down and burning large extensions of tropical forests.
So what actually promotes the man-nature relationship? Simply "surviving," the act of surviving, is not just the mere act of looking for food, shelter and clothing. Surviving evolved into other larger trends "although anthropologically and socially they remain the same".
The so-called “survival strategies” have changed, from the simple fact of searching for food (hunting and / or gathering) to that of monstrous economic transactions, which move with the keyboard of a computer millions of thousands of dollars.
The "vision" that man has from its origins, that we are in a land of "inexhaustible resources" still persists and apparently will continue to exist, for many more centuries (if we have so much time).
The "Homo sapiens economicus" is the dominant subspecies of the planet, the "Homo sapiens psicologicus", "Homo sapiens cerebrum", "Homo sapiens politicus," Homo sapiens ambientalis "," Homo sapiens militaris "and our Close ancestor "Homo sapiens sapiens" have been relegated to geographically wide spaces, but very narrow in action and reasoning.
Which element is the most affected of this fateful evolution, which led humanity to create “Homo s. economicus ”, in my opinion and that of many experts in the field, is the“ dermis and epidermis ”(skin) of our“ planet ”brazenly called“ Earth ”. Logically I am talking about the "Atmosphere" (Dermis) and the "Soil" (Epidermis). The “Homo s. economicus ”taking advantage of his new“ status quo ”within the social hierarchy, which has transformed him into the new“ Alpha Male ”of the world community, they use most of the evolved Homonimid subspecies (Psicologicus, Cerebrum, Politicus, Ambientalis, Religiosus, Militaris and our common ancestor Sapiens), each of them had their opportunity to dominate the planet at any given moment in history, but as always “evolution”,which leads to the fittest surviving and prospering, I relegate them to lower hierarchies. Forcing ourselves directly (and in most cases indirectly) to carry out their purposes, believing the subspecies (hierarchically inferior) that we are part of a society with social, economic and environmental "equity", without accepting that we are simply part of a chess game, where the new "social kings and queens" are the "Homo s. economicus ”.
But the supposed "correct" mathematical and statistical calculations, which are carried out by the "Homo s. economicus "have not been able to anticipate, it is that they are not only leading the other subspecies to the destruction of the" Planet ", but their own" survival strategy ", a classic error in which all the subspecies of Homonimides is that in their deductive or inductive calculations, never enter the mathematical function, equation or calculation, that our macro ecosystem (Planet Earth) has "limited" resources. And the inadequate separation of “renewable and non-renewable” resources must be evaluated and redefined.
Now, which subspecies is the one that suffers the most, due to the indifference about the quality of life, that we are gradually bringing humanity and with it our beloved "Planet Earth" to the end of finite resources, which psychologically we have constituted in infinite, logically I am referring to “Homo s. environmentalis ”, this subspecies of“ Homo sapiens ”is the last to have evolved and in a certain way displacing“ Homo s. religiosus ”as the generated entity of social consciousness (at some moments in the history of man).
The problem of the coexistence of each one of the "subspecies" of Homonimides is that they compete to occupy a significant space within society, each of them at a given moment in history were the "Alpha Male" of society in particular the “Homo s. religiosus ”,“ Homo s. politucus ”,“ Homo s. Militaris ”and in the last two centuries the“ Homo s. economicus ”. In a second and third category are the other subspecies of Homonimides (the last in their hierarchical ranking are Homo s. Psicologicus and Homo s. Ambientalis), the behavior between them is based on "manipulation" through the mind, spirit or conduct. Each of them has a different "survival strategy" and especially those that occupy a second and third hierarchical category,they do not wish to change or use the "survival strategies" of the other subspecies in order to achieve their own objectives. A classic example is that of “Homo s. environmentalis ”being today, the most virtuous of the Homonymides, in fact if we compare his psychosocial behavior, we will be able to observe similar tendencies in his“ hierarchical similes ”, in history the“ Homo s. cerebrum ”and“ Homo s. religiosus ”(before taking another stronger role), they were“ martyrs ”of humanity.religiosus ”(before taking another stronger role), they were“ martyrs ”of humanity.religiosus ”(before taking another stronger role), they were“ martyrs ”of humanity.
That is what the “Homo s. environmentalis ”want to be or have become, the complaint, to face the weapons of whale hunters, of the clubs of baby seal hunters, of the grave of broadleaf forests in Guatemala or Brazil, their encouragement is to become in today's "Buddha, Muhammad and Christs".
Why don't we use another survival strategy? Yes, it would be the real alternative, letting the “Homo s. environmentalis ”, without developing as a Hybrid with the“ Homo s. economicus ”, the new motivators of“ human consciousness ”must consider the behavior of“ Homo s. economicus ”and take the tools of it to be able to conserve, manage and administer the few natural resources that currently exist on the“ Planet ”.
Consider that the separation of these two subspecies (economicus and environmentalis) occurred very recently, in fact the starting point for the evolution of "Homo s. economicus ”, was the moment in which that shepherd who quotes“ Garret Hardin ”putting the common benefit before him, arithmetic rationality leads him to add one more animal to his flock, and another, and another successively, in search of his personal benefit. The shepherds who were looking for a better man-nature balance gradually generated an environmental awareness and evolved in attitude, way of life and knowledge to become what we know today as “Homo s. environmentalis ”, from this separation and little compatibility of habits and social, economic and environmental tendencies, the true“ Tragedy of the Commons ”is born,it is not the fact of over-exploitation of a geographical area, or the breaking of a "life strategy", it is the formation of two different models of thinking and life attitudes, which evolved into the formation of two new subspecies of Homonimides (economicus and ambientalis).
So like "Hardin," I share the definition of the word tragedy as used by the philosopher Whitehead: "The essence of tragedy is not sadness. It resides in the merciless solemnity of the development of things ».
And he goes on to say: "This inevitability of fate can only be illustrated in terms of human life by incidents that, in fact, involve unhappiness, for it is only through them that the futility of flight can be made evident in the drama.".
The tragedy itself is not the existence of the "Homo s. economicus ”, the real tragedy lies in how the separation into two sister subspecies“ occurred ”, with so much antagonism, that the actions of one of them (economicus) endangers the survival of the other species of Homonimides and of all living beings from "Planet Earth".
3. Psychosocial-environmental syndromes, a proposal to resume
Now, as the new "Alpha Males" of the global community, they have managed to "manipulate" humanity (all subspecies of Homonimides), easily as they have done on other occasions, the homonymides that were in turn the "Alpha Males" Logically with some variations.
"Manipulation" is part of our psychological weapons, which have served us from our evolutionary and personal childhood to obtain what we want. This weapon also can and has been used against us, which is why today or in the past they were the "Alpha Males" of the global community.
Those who have had the opportunity to talk to me, at a given moment on a personal and / or professional level, know the comparison I make between the "psychological" health of "society" (or group) and individual people, it is well known in classical or contemporary psychology that individuals, caused by "biochemical" agents or "environmental situations", suffer psychological illnesses, which cause imbalances or changes in behavior, before their life and logically with the people around them.
Like the individual, they can suffer from these disorders of the psyche (for biochemical or environmental reasons), society suffers from these “diseases”, which can be segmented even by “life or development sector” and with such interesting variations, which affect the like race, religion and education, the "Territorial Strategic Planning" systems, which I have raised in "Floristofilo II and III", have identified a well-established "clinical profile" for these diseases, which we will call " SYNDROME". For example, in a very personal way, I have been able to determine some "Psychosocial Syndromes" in some countries where I have had the pleasure of working on "Territorial Strategic Planning", which I list below: 1. Guatemala "Hidden Enemy Syndrome, Circle Syndrome Closed and False Kaibil Syndrome ”; two.El Salvador "Hidden Enemy Syndrome, Reduced Humility Syndrome and Closed Circle Syndrome";
3. In Nicaragua "Hidden Enemy Syndrome, Pediatric Syndrome, Gueguence Syndrome, Relative Inferiority Syndrome"; and 4. Dominican Republic "Comparon Syndrome, Carnival Bonche Syndrome and Closed Circle Syndrome".
The “syndromes” directly affect the work plan of any strategic planner, if he or she does not know the “status quo” of said psychosocial syndromes (in addition to racial, religious and educational influence), the good wills of planning may not pass from the paper, to the operational framework.
Like this very particular "psychosocial syndromes", environmental specialists (possibly Homo s. Ambientalis) have been able to determine three generic lines of the so-called "Psychosocial Environmental Syndromes", which, I present below:
Utilization syndrome;
Developmental syndrome; and
Sink syndrome.
For each "Psychosocial Environmental Syndrome" a series of generic variants has been determined, which can be further defined by region or country. These syndromes are one of the many tools that the “Homo s. economicus ”to achieve their objectives, handling as“ puppets ”all the subspecies of Homonimides (even Homo s. ambietalis themselves).
4. The need to build a new environmental awareness
If we agree that the "Homo sapiens", we have evolved in different subspecies, with specific particularities in the "survival strategies" and that there are "psychosocial environmental syndromes" that affect the way of perceiving, acting and deciding in our societies, It is necessary that the "managers, planners and managers" of natural resources and biodiversity, reevaluate the survival strategy that they use for said actions and consider retaking or actually "stealing" strategies from the other "subspecies of Homonimides", especially the "Homo s. economicus ”.
If we belong to the subspecies of “Homo s. environmentalis ”, we must consider the use of the same weapons of the dominant subspecies (Homo s. economicus) and based on the history (lessons learned) of the subspecies that at one point in time had dominance of our planet and therefore of our survival as a species. Simply Homo s. environmentalis, you should not fear when negotiating economically, environmental goods, services and functions, if the goal is the preservation, conservation and sustainable management of these resources, if we manage to “break with the paradigms of environmental martyrs” and without being hybrids evolutionary, search in a fair fight, for the protection of the common habitat that all subspecies of Homonimides share.
5. Soil degradation, a first variable to negotiate
As "Homonymides" that we are, our substratum of life, on which I base, initially a large part of economic models (and even), is the earth, but not referred to as the name of our planet, but as an element that we take advantage of, we use and do we drive
The whole macro species "Homo sapiens" has had as its evolutionary starting point, the physical space where it lives or lived, the "land or soil" is what gives us sustenance, housing and economy, without this vital epidermis of the planet, any organization or structure, biological, social, economic and political, would disappear. But in reality, what value are we giving it? How sustainable are our survival strategies really? How long would it be before the land and the impoverished land took revenge on their aggressors?
The “soil or land degradation” is the first variable, with which the “Homo s. environmentalis ”must negotiate, the intrinsic value is given, all the subspecies, even the dominant one (Homo s. economicus), know that without the real sustenance of the land, the trade of basic consumer goods (food, clothing), classic (housing), contemporary (cars) and technology (cell phones, computers, etc.), would not continue.
Despite the "technological" that the different subspecies want to consider, we continue to be dependent on the element that nourished our ancestral species "Homo sapiens".
Even though we cultivate for food production (agriculture), the use of wood despite the reduction of forest cover has increased in the first 6 years of the 21st century by 35% compared to the 90's of the century. XX, many of the native and aboriginal populations “hunt” in order to use mountain meat as the only means of including animal protein in their food diet, many companies cut the earth in search of minerals and precious metals (silver, gold, platinum, iron, etc.) and finally the earth is still the maximum collector, storage and distributor of "water" for the variable uses that the different subspecies of "Homonimides".
Therefore, the last bastions of defense, "almost total", where the hands (directly) of "Homo s. economicus "cannot penetrate are our" protected areas ", they are the territories, where the" Homo s. environmentalis "we must strategically withdraw, to generate a counter-attack, which allows balancing forces and having a negotiation offer that is appetizing and consistent with the" survival strategy "of" Homo s. economicus ”. With this simple thought, “Homo s. environmentalis ”should embellish“ Homo s. economicus ”to adopt the socio-environmental offers that are presented to it and adopt them as its own.
