I wanted to write a super simple document to keep in mind when searching on Google.
1. Google examines all the words that you indicate it is not necessary to use + to join words. Use this symbol only if words like “en” “and” “http” that Google calls Superfluous Terms and removes from your search are important in your search.
2. Remember, Google does not distinguish accents and ñ therefore, to make a difference you must write: "+ wildcard". If you just put "wildcard" the result will be under "wildcard" searches.
3. If you don't want a term to appear, use “-” before the word. Example: "tourism travel - transportation" will search for sites with the word tourism and travel but that does not contain transportation.
4. Forget about DOS, don't use * as a wildcard, for Google it is one more character to search.
5. Complete sentences are very useful to find the exact sentence. Example: "here goes the whole phrase".
6. Who did not want to investigate manuals in PDF format? I typed "textsearch filetype: pdf". And use "textsearch -filetype: pdf" when you want me to show you all the documents except those in that format.
Now we look in the body of the web:
Title: “allintitle: textoabuscar”
Content: "allintext: textoabuscar"
URL: “allinurl: textoabuscar”
Links to the web: “allinanchor: textoabuscar”
I always use this and I find it very comfortable: "information site: www.example.com" I ask you to search for the word information only on the site www.example.com. And Obviously if I type "information -site: www.example.com" like this it will look for it in all but there.
And to find a link to a specific site "site: www.ejemplo.com".
