This article is based on the social impact that the industrial, computer and telecommunications revolution currently causes on humanity, the benefits of having the control and security of monitoring our home, company, universities and even comfort. to avoid doing routine activities and increase our quality of life. In this article we will focus on the home automation system, its benefits, advantages.
Development
We all know that technological evolution has been very important in recent years. Making a small visualization of the future, it becomes evident that the impact that the different telecommunication services derived from this evolution will have on the lives of citizens will be increasingly important.
Internet access will be faster and faster, television will become digital and interactive, new operators will offer interesting alternatives to basic telephony, home automation will fully enter homes, and through the Internet or the phone we can control our homes through distance.
Who can be interested in a home automation system? The answer would be to everyone, not just offices, buildings, companies, universities, private homes, hotels, etc. If we had to summarize the main reasons for installing an Intelligent System, I would summarize them in comfort, security, well-being, information, energy efficiency.
The objective of Home Automation is the integration of systems through an automated network of mechanisms. The interconnection with various devices using infrared, radio frequencies, metal supports, among others.
Its function is based on a system integrated into a personal computer (PC), which controls the various independent equipment, through its own programming, the ability to relate different elements such as air conditioning with that of other household appliances and obtain great versatility. and variety in decision making, opening windows; with a single glance at the computer, the person can see the state of their home, if we have mail pending to collect in the mailbox, the temperatures inside and outside the building, if the air conditioning is connected, when the garden has been watered for the last time, if the earth is wet.
That the hall lights are activated when passing without pressing any switch, turn on the heating with a simple phone call, generate alarms for the entry of intruders when we are not at home, that the electric stove automatically disconnects, program the irrigation system, control the state of lights and blinds through television with a remote control, from any phone we could say that home automation brings life to homes.
It is actually something very surprising since even in Mexico we do not have such advanced technology, perhaps that is why it is very difficult for us to accept it, in addition to having to prepare ourselves mentally and culturally to be prepared and give the correct use to these advances and not give it a misuse, while in other countries such as Japan, Spain already have this technology.
Home automation?
The Larousse encyclopedia defines the term Domotics as: «the concept of housing that integrates all the automatisms in matters of security, energy management, communications, etc. The term« scientific »that is used to refer to the part of technology (electronics and informatics), which integrates the control and supervision of the existing elements in an office building or a residential building or simply in any home.
Also, a very familiar term for everyone is "smart building" which, although it refers to the same thing, we normally tend to apply it more to the field of large office blocks, banks, universities and industrial buildings.
Conclusion
La domótica muchos nos preguntamos alguna vez que es ese término de la domótica, sinceramente nunca pensamos que, estamos viviendo con algo de ella aunque no como tal, como mencionábamos anteriormente la domotica no solo les interesa a grandes edificios, empresas internacionales, grandes universidades, si no también a simple y sencillas casas habitación, casa particulares, escuelas, hospitales, departamentos, etc. la inseguridad actualmente nos ha llevado a buscar otras alternativas para asegurar nuestras vidas, así como el bienestar de que cuando llegues del trabajo cansado, puedas disfrutar de la comodidad en tu casa eso a su vez creando una mejor calidad de vida.
Probably that we could only find or read in science fiction books, movies that made us see the similarity of what could happen some day in the future, but a future that is not very far, how long will it take us to wait for us to interact? With these Smart systems, we do not know but it is a fact that is plowed thanks to the revolution in technologies.
