Balanced leadership strategy

Balance is not a state or the place to which we can put ourselves. Balance is always on the move. A dancer trains and practices balance to be on point, a golfer balances her golf swing, a pilot keeps the plane balanced in all types of weather conditions.

“The best and the safest thing is to keep a balance in your life, to recognize the great powers around us and in us. If you can do this, and live like this, you are really a wise man. "- Euripides.

Balance is not a state or the place to which we can put ourselves. Balance is always on the move. A dancer trains and practices balance to be on point, a golfer balances her golf swing, a pilot keeps the plane balanced in all types of weather conditions. Each of these examples illustrates different areas where they require balance, however, each of the individuals has a fundamental characteristic. They are focused on a goal to reach a specific result. Balance is an ability to be developed.

In today's fast-paced, high-speed world it's not easy to be balanced. There are countless events and relationships vying for your attention. This takes a toll on anyone's health, career, and relationships. I constantly see people who are frustrated and not long afterwards have stress. They seek balance.

Balance is developed by choice and deciding who drives the bus. Do you drive the bus or are your decisions based on your own thinking about how to drive the bus?

Are you willing to experience new perspectives? If you answer no, what can you expect from the world that is changing around you? If yes, congratulations on going deeper into the rabbit hole of your consciousness.

"I always do what I cannot do, so that I can learn to do it." - Pablo Picasso

Here are some leadership balance questions to ponder:

-How balanced would you like to be?

-Where do you want more balance?

-What difference would balance in your leadership make?

-What if things stayed the same? How much would this cost?

-What or who drives your leadership bus? Is it a habit, does it limit itself with its self-talk, the routine, the pressure of others?

Pretend your life / career is in balance, what do you do and who are you? Use your imagination. At this point don't worry about the how.

"Wealth stays with us for a little while: only if our character is firm, not our gold." - Euripides
