Anonim

Nursing actions are a very important service in health systems in Mexico, over time and until now the nursing area has presented a series of favorable changes in terms of scientific principles in the actions of care as its main role in the corresponding services, however, according to experiences published in Mexico and other Latin American countries, the nursing leadership positions who maintain a greater commitment in the implementation of leadership are still presenting themselves with a series of problems at the moment problem solving.

Nursing leadership is a very important element and it can be said that it is inherent to the nursing area.

Currently we live in an environment that should favor the emergence and implementation of strategies in the areas of health service provision, and nursing is not an exception, the need arises as a result of a series of events that Mexico is experiencing with actions such as budget cuts, problems in the economy and of a social nature that keep Mexican society in an environment of uncertainty.

In this sense, leadership becomes a good strategy in search of obtaining better results in the provision of a quality health service, and that by right the Mexican society demands it.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Currently in Mexico a series of social phenomena occur, facing a great challenge in solving specific treatments for chronic diseases and others that involve the implementation of long-term care and that generate a high cost of care. The improvement in the quality of health services is an element that society demands and therefore, in positions of administration of health systems, strategies that favor the continuous improvement of services must be implemented, the nursing area being An area of utmost importance in service provision currently has deficiencies in terms of the implementation of leadership and teamwork.possibly due to the fact that in the leadership positions that are the ones that should be most committed to leadership actions and the quality of services and that according to publications a considerable section of these positions present problems when executing and seeking to solve problems related in the various specific areas.

QUESTIONS TO ANSWER

Is leadership a fundamental element in obtaining better results in the provision of nursing services?

Is leadership an element that should prevail only in personnel with leadership positions?

Are current events in Mexico reasons for the implementation of new leadership strategies for the improvement of health services?

DEVELOPING

Nursing actions can be said to be intimately related to leadership actions, since care as a fundamental part of nursing action is demanded within health care organizations. In different Latin American countries certain situations have arisen in which the actions of the positions that imply leadership in the nursing area are denoted in a considerable proportion and Mexico is not the exception, it is worth mentioning that the nursing area, when having actions care of patients at different levels of care requires coordination and managers with specific characteristics that maintain a certain order within the actions and relationships between members of the work group and relationships between staff-user, however,There are references that mention that there are still leadership styles that exert a series of situations that instead of favoring organized work totally harm the organizational environment within the various positions and the appropriate management of nursing personnel.

The various publications specifically focused on nursing leadership emphasize the experiences presented by people who have held positions in which, from my perspective, it necessarily implies the application of leadership principles such as nurses with positions in nursing headquarters, headquarters in nursing departments, health secretaries, area supervisors, hospital managers, among others. These people who have been framed within nursing leadership studies stated that they have presented a series of characteristics that nursing personnel must possess when joining a work team, which are represented through a series of values that imply a total commitment to the organization or institution in which you work, within the characteristics of nursing leadership implies having characteristics such as commitment to organization, group development and teamwork, a great ability to facilitate care actions, knowledge of at least a considerable proportion of nursing services, a great capacity for innovation in the labor field, the capacity for human relations, capacity for the resolution of labor conflicts, skills in management and in the negotiation of projects that favor the fulfillment of institutional goals, to name a few.knowledge of at least a considerable proportion of nursing services, a great capacity for innovation in the labor field, the capacity for human relations, the capacity for resolving labor conflicts, skills in management and in the negotiation of projects that favor compliance of institutional goals, to name a few.knowledge of at least a considerable proportion of nursing services, a great capacity for innovation in the labor field, the capacity for human relations, the capacity for resolving labor conflicts, skills in management and in the negotiation of projects that favor compliance of institutional goals, to name a few.

These proposals for leadership actions for the nursing area are highly necessary in our times, in which at least in Mexico, who as a nation currently suffers somewhat from culture and a focus on change in favor of continuous process improvement and provision of health services, in addition to this the uncertain future that lies ahead for the health sector in the economic, management and budgetary aspects that are closely related to the so-called "structural reforms" where precisely thanks to these events, it is expected that actions of leaders who set the tone to achieve the main objective within the national health system, which is to provide quality health services to the Mexican population.

These events that we are currently experiencing in conjunction with past experiences in terms of nursing leadership specifically, force nursing professionals to implement efficient leadership that implies a series of values in the action but above all a total commitment Continuous improvement, it is intended that these issues around the development and implementation of effective leadership should be supported by innovative strategies that facilitate the organization and collaboration in customer service.

CONCLUSION

Definitively, the health system in Mexico requires a reorganization through its institutions, a change that generates improvement strategies, always ensuring the quality of care services. The commitment of the nursing area must be total in this aspect because it is precisely the nurses who interact with users the longest and where in a considerable proportion in the care centers, according to studies related to leadership, leadership actions are not precisely reflected in some cases yet,Of course, carrying out leadership actions implies a series of responsibilities that, in my opinion, should prevail in all nursing personnel, since the organization is a hallmark in that area of services and regardless of the criteria that are considered to assign to the positions of heads of departments or specific areas, learn to collaborate and implement group leadership actions in search of obtaining better and good results through the satisfaction of users, which is why the responsibility for knowledge of principles, rules, laws and foundations and cultural habits must be part of nursing leaders.learn to collaborate and implement group leadership actions in search of obtaining better and good results through user satisfaction, which is why the responsibility for knowledge of principles, norms, laws and foundations and cultural habits must be part of the nursing leaders.learn to collaborate and implement group leadership actions in search of obtaining better and good results through user satisfaction, which is why the responsibility for knowledge of principles, norms, laws and foundations and cultural habits must be part of the nursing leaders.
