The values and challenges of responsibility in the new university

Anonim

In today's world where neoliberal globalization predominates, there is a crisis of values in capitalist society. However, humanity must coexist with environmental problems, drug addiction, prostitution, poverty, illiteracy, global economic crisis, etc., to face this unequal world and create a just society, the formation of the new man calls for a humanist pedagogy that promotes a new pedagogical ethics. The author of this work assumes this problem to make it an important part of her research.

A study should be made of the causes that affect, both individually and socially, analyzing that the main source of acquisition of ethical values is the home, since the formation of consciousness begins in family relationships and then they are deepened and reinforced within the school.

The university and specifically teachers, as education professionals, can reinforce and complement what is given in values at home, strengthening it in cases where young people come from homes with different values practices.

Morality allows man to orient himself effectively in social life. Moral education must develop in each personality all its qualities: attitude towards work, deep love for the country, fidelity to the ideas of peace, freedom, dignity and equality, love and respect for humanity, proletarian internationalism, intransigence for the that does not fulfill its social duty.

The importance of everyone having their values, while they are self-regulating, so that they are not affected by the context. The author of this work chooses the value of responsibility for forming an inseparable entity from the morality of every individual, since it can be reflected in the customs and traditions that each person has acquired throughout their lives. This value can give us an answer about the need for reinforcement in others such as: responsibility, solidarity, sacrifice, honesty, etc.

DEVELOPING

Values influence the person, since it can regulate their individual and collective mode of action, it allows educators to enter their environment and influence it positively, when we are able to instill in them appropriate ways of manifesting and behaving. The lack of this value can be reflected when the student manifests himself negatively when facing an evaluation, when he is not able to actively participate in school activities arguing constant excuses, when he does not demand of himself an action according to the rules and principles of the Cuban Revolution.

The lack of this value can influence logical thinking, cognitive development because the law student lives in the present, but begins to dream of the future. The relationship between the development of the students' cognitive processes and the deepening of science knowledge, as well as the assessments and opinions that are formed in them, encourages their transformation into convictions, their own points of view, that is, they contribute to the achievement of the scientific conception of the world.

Training in values is one of the essential pillars to achieve a social coexistence capable of building a homeland with peace and justice, because children and young people are our best heritage.

The need for educators at this level to know in depth the characteristics of the students from the source of income of the Comprehensive Improvement Course for Young People and of the workers who are cadres of the different entities, in addition to the different social organizations and know how to recognize in these their individual peculiarities and with common risks. This is undoubtedly a premise to raise the quality of educational teaching work.

These elements have been valued taking into consideration the role of a new figure who has entered the learning management process; the Professor Tutor; which must be with their students all the time to contribute to the necessary individual and group transformations, working with a fine diagnosis that allows them to distinguish the difficulties they have in order to help solve their problems, where they will assume an active attitude throughout the process educational teacher and will maintain a systematic control of the state of learning, taking together with their pedagogical group the appropriate measures to make each one advance and to reverse the deficiencies that they find in their work.

The exchange of experiences and research results is very important, it would be unscientific and even dangerous to try to work in isolation. The search for updated bibliography on the subject in Cuba and abroad is a constant task of teachers. There are interesting experiences that must be taken into account and applicable with the corresponding adjustments. The responsibility for the education of people in a society, in a country or in a municipality rests with the social group, and this responsibility should be assumed explicitly and consciously in order to guarantee a better life for children, youth and adults, whose well-being and human development are intimately linked to their possibility of permanent education. This is what makes education, par excellence,a matter that must be aired in the public sphere.

Each era has its system of values, based on the philosophy adopted, values are assumed and taught differently, so it can be said that ethics is susceptible to change with history and expresses one or another interpretation of the moral.

The term ETHICS comes from the ancient Greek Ethos, which in Homer's Iliad originally meant a room, a common home. Later it acquired other meanings: moral, temperament, character, way of thinking.

Some claim that we live in a society without values; others that have appeared new values associated with the new socio-economic and cultural paradigm; There are also those who say that the problem lies in the existence of a multivariate of values, which produces confusion and disorientation in the performance and valuation of human beings. Perhaps all this is happening, it would be worth addressing the matter taking into account that in all societies and in different times, man as a guide has had to face his own development challenges, why could it not be done in the face of accelerated development scientific-technological and the globalization of the current world ?.

When analyzing values, it is necessary to understand them as a constitutive part of social reality itself, a relationship of significance between the different processes or events of social life and the needs and interests of society as a whole. Every object, phenomenon, event, trend, behavior, idea or conception, every result of human activity plays a role in society, favors or hinders its progressive development, and acquires social significance. That is why values cannot be formed without taking into account the concrete reality in which the subject lives. When man modifies reality, he transforms himself, therefore, he changes his value system.

These values do not exist as abstractions outside of the individual who, in his condition of subject, is the bearer of his subjective configuration in the personality and the intentional conductor of his expression. Being part of human subjectivity, they appear as complex formations of the personality from the birth of the individual, the evolutionary development with which the conception of the world is being formed in him, until his death. From this derives their emotional component, which defines them as motives for individual expression.

Today man collides with a multitude of moral evaluations, complex collisions, different ways of thinking, of proceeding, flights, setbacks and moral falls, he is always in danger of moral disorientation, the real course of our lives will flow when man understands your moral responsibility and be self-regulating using your conscience as a vehicle, in an uninterrupted process throughout your existence to develop all your potentialities, in close identification with all human beings.
