Differentiating key activities from normal and routine activities.

Avoiding loss of time in unimportant work. Facilitating feedback to management.

The work activities on which attention should be focused are those relevant to the business and those that allow the achievement of objectives.

WHAT IS A PRIORITY REPORT?

It is a weekly planning tool to:

Manage time.

Define key activities and monitor them.

Focus what is important to meet the objectives.

It allows us a clear and consolidated description of what must be done in the short term to achieve the medium term objectives.

Short-term activities can be classified by management or based on the strategy of the four technical priorities.

Medium-term projects must be broken by area.

It includes other work-related matters to keep in mind such as: Management Requirements, Approvals, Travel & Vacation, Training and Others.

THE FOUR QUALITY ASSURANCE PRIORITIES (QAP)

They are the areas of the function from which the opportunities and business strategies derive:

PAC1: Protection of the Quality and Image of ABASA.

PAC2: Savings and Profitability Systems.

PAC3: Control of Operating Expenses.

PAC4: Innovation.

TIME ADMINISTRATION MATRIX

DYNAMICS OF WEEKLY PLANNING

The appropriate time for weekly planning is between Friday and Monday.

This allows identifying what is pending from the previous week which becomes a priority after checking the problems on Monday.

The Priorities Report must be submitted to the management on Monday afternoon.

The priorities of the same quadrant can be differentiated using ABC sub-classification. For example, 2A has a higher priority than 2B and 2C but less than 1A, 1B, or 1C.

Color coding can also be used as a visual aid on what is in progress and what has been done so far. Use Yellow Marker for In-Process activities and Green Marker for completed activities.

Topics presented during the week can be added by handwriting them in the blanks. It is not necessary to submit the report for consideration again.

File your Old Priority Reports (Printed) as evidence of your weekly planning, monitoring achievements.
