Each resource on the Internet is identified by an IP address (for example: 74.124.21.225), that number is unique and serves to identify and communicate with each other, in a local network and in the network of networks. Each server, pc, or item has an IP address, including the Websites; it would be very difficult to memorize the address of Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. and we could not navigate freely as we do now.
As each domain is associated with an IP address we do not have to worry about the numbers, we only have to correctly enter the names of the websites that we want to visit.
A domain has 2 parts:

When someone wants to have their own domain it is necessary to visit the website of a domain registrar and register it for a small fee. He is in charge of communicating to the servers that there is a new domain and when we or our users want to search for it in the browser, he will direct us to our website correctly.
A good domain name is essential when creating your website, because it will be directly associated with your brand, your product and your person. That is why it is necessary to take a few minutes to choose it, although if it is already busy you can also create a variant in the name.
Simple and practical domains are found on the internet. Also those that are impossible to memorize, it all depends on the person responsible. Having patience and creativity when choosing it does not cost much.
Before registering a domain, we must first check its availability (that it is not in use, because we remember that a domain must be unique).
