Although it might be thought that this type of technology is only a luxury for wealthy people, it has important advantages for which it can be a magnificent investment within an organization, no matter how small, since it provides a wide variety of advantages, among which include energy savings, increased security levels, greater and better centralized control over all areas or rooms, better communication, optimization of resources, automation, time savings, quality of life, increases the value of the properties, compatibility and guarantee of functionality in the future by means of the X10 standard and why not, a high degree of comfort.

Although the definition of home automation suggests that it is a science that applies to the home, the concept of “smart devices” is very useful and applicable anywhere, homes, companies, zoos, shops, prisons, universities, etc.

Returning to the example of the maquiladora, we will try to mention the advantages and disadvantages between security and control personnel, against the bionic entity emulated by a home automation network.
