By virtue of technological evolution, the application of Science and Technology, the artisan company became an industrial one with some modifications that influenced its productive capacity.

The industrial company, in turn, was transformed into a modern company with the appearance of Marketing, which has modified and expanded its sales possibilities through knowledge of the market and its feedback.

In the last century, industrial companies did not need to launch gigantic promotional campaigns since their modest production capacities did not need a specialized staff, but the owner himself served as Director, Head of Sales, Publicist, public relation and probably he knew his clientele personally.

In this century, artisan companies were transformed into modern industrial companies. This resulted in two aspects:

  1. - Reduction of the cost of production per unit. - Increase in production capacity.

This in turn resulted in such a rise in the supply of goods and services that it turned it into a serial supply. The sale of merchandise became difficult, and faced with this difficulty, the need to create, stimulate and develop mass consumption was imposed.

Marketing arises and develops here.

Tourism marketing is a product of the integral development of humanity. Especially in transport, the media, communication, electronics, etc. All this has determined that people have achieved more free time. The standard of living has changed substantially on a universal scale with respect to previous times. Increasingly, people travel from their habitual residence to other spaces that are not; because they have a marginal, superior purchasing power, greater culture and desire for knowledge.

Along with this movement, more and more new offers appear that are put on the leisure market, competing with those already in existence, making it increasingly difficult to sell tourism. For this, a knowledge of the new techniques of efficient marketing is needed, with the concept of business philosophy: the satisfaction of the needs and desires of the clients, if we want to maintain our business as a successful business.

This manual includes some topics of tourism marketing, contents of the classes given in the classroom and systematized to present them as a basic brochure material for complementary studies. I think that this dossier will contribute to a greater understanding and fixation of the knowledge of the discipline.
