Ethics is relevant for every individual and without a doubt, it is immersed in the business environment. Ethics must always be taken into account in every decision, whether the issue is negotiations with our suppliers, with our collaborators or with our competitors, ethics must always be present.

Today there are more organizations that fight for transparency in activities based on ethical codes and with the internet as a tool for social communication, companies must consider ethics as an indispensable value before acting. Without solid values we are approaching the disaster of our organization. Unfortunately, there are those who put financial results above ethics and values, of course, they do not realize that corporate ethics can be a source of competitive advantage, since it can attract potential clients and first-class collaborators. level.

When managing a company responsibly we must ask ourselves:

Am I spending most of my time putting out fires or hiding deficiencies in my administration?

The managers of companies that are in decline, have lost the global vision of the business. On the other hand, its activities are absurdly focused on postponing the impending disaster. The really substantial problems are hidden or not part of our priorities and have been removed from consciousness as we obsessively devote ourselves to finding the best angle on the latest bad news, and cunningly hiding any corporate flaws. This impending downfall is usually accompanied by a rationalization whereby the leader simply seeks to save time and make the important arrangements later or is definitely not capable of making them.

Are we too ambitious?

Occasionally it is not easy for us to accept that we are greedy. All of us are aware of how hard our work must be to achieve success; nevertheless, the tireless competition for power becomes the sole purpose of the organization. The problem begins when ambition is the dominant factor in any decision, so we feel that we have the right to everything and we want everything. This happens easily as a consequence of the human tendency to not value things that were previously a standard that led us towards the progress and success of the company. The professional with vision fights his ambition by reimbursing our society.

Is it time to stop and analyze our competitive strategy and do something different or do absolutely nothing?

This is the most difficult question to answer and even more so at times when we think we are at the top. We must consider that unfortunately, many professionals fail just when everything seems to be going smoothly, that is when we must allow ourselves a break and taking the necessary time to develop a reengineering and change the path may be the best strategy. Disaster is imminent when the leader of an organization begins to make quick and intransigent decisions for not focusing on real and internal problems, as a consequence the decisions take on a life of their own.

Let's assess our conscience and if we identify an ethical deficiency in our professional development, it is necessary to go on to evaluate the situation more thoroughly.

Ethics is essential to achieve profitability in business, since these are done with and for people, so it is a mistake to take interaction strictly to the focus of beneficial profit for which it is considered stronger.

Honesty within our organization is one of the demands of man and of course of our clients, in business competition the strict vision of ethics applies, competition is crude and to achieve success various strategies of impact for society and sometimes it seems like a war in which the client is the first victim and the company with an unethical administrator the second.

A good ethical performance is simultaneously a good professional performance. Ethics discover in men something of more value than the development of their activities.
