Every change is the result of the acquisition of new knowledge or a new vision of reality. If we are what we learn, it is evidence that we can evolve by learning more and continuously and, above all, by practicing what we have recently learned. Remember that you learn through repetition so the best way to learn and retain is to share our knowledge. When we teach what we learn, we expand our knowledge.

A true transformation is the result of learning new ways of thinking and behavior. We are currently living in the information age and therefore we can say that we have everything we need to learn. What probably costs us more is learning to see the whole and not just the parts separately, something that, willingly or not, we usually do.

Just as people have a light side and a shadow side, we also find this phenomenon in our companies. Generally our way of seeing ourselves and seeing our companies is through light and, therefore, we are dazzled until, suddenly, the circumstances of life show us a dark side that we did not see and then we get irritated because things they look bleak to us.

In reality, perceiving a thing is making it fixed, which is why the perception of the processes of interaction in constant movement is so difficult for us in real time. The written organization chart of a company can, in its beginning, show us the dynamic interactions that exist within it, although experience teaches us that this is no longer true since while it is being put into practice, other processes are produced that will convert to the organization chart in something unreal. For this reason we can affirm that the initial organization chart will only be a model that marks the beginning of the movement.

Everything is in permanent movement, in constant transformation; the mountain erodes, rivers flow, bodies age, behaviors and mentalities evolve. The same happens with the seasons: spring contains the origins of summer, summer, in turn, hides those of autumn, which will later give way to winter, which, in turn, will open to spring, as well as day contains night and light contains shadow.

Our task is therefore not to predict the future but rather to give direction to our businesses from the beginning of the whole, which leads us to broaden our fractional vision of the parts and acquire a more global vision.

If we analyze closely the fact that light contains shadow, we will clearly see that an efficient and wise way to transform the company is to learn to observe everything that occurs within it from this perspective: its light and its shadow.

How can we prepare for this change? The best way to be prepared is to anticipate rather than fear it, becoming more actors in our own evolution than victims of some undesirable involution.

Let us remember that any transformation that we experience, no matter how small, will create a shock wave whose effects will be felt elsewhere; It is like the small wave that creates the smoothest wave and spreads over the entire surface of the water.

In order to anticipate, we must learn to look at events from their light and shadow side, in this way we multiply our ability to understand the events that occur within our company that are actually neutral. If we embrace both sides, both that of light and that of shadow, new paths will open for us with infinite possibilities.

Another way to be prepared is to look at our talents or strengths, our highest values, and how we are applying them in our professional lives. This makes us become the managers of our own life, taking charge of ourselves and linking ourselves with the activity we are doing.

The transformation of the company is a process in which all its members participate. For this reason, each one must be aware that confidence in himself and in the company itself will influence the entire process, turning challenges into assured successes.
